Today is the first day of baseball for most Major League Baseball teams! May everyone's hometown team (adopted or otherwise) do well... And the Red Sox do a little better than that

* Yes, yesterday was official Opening Day, but there was only one game. Today it is ON!

Well, I'm a Chicago White Sox fan, so the fact that there was only one game yesterday didn't bother me. Oh, and the fact that they WON! It was pouring rain here and hailing, and the Sox still won. I am too excited about baseball after a long winter of football.

Greenville Braves! (Minor league but hey. Go Greenville Braves!) Minor league rocks by the way. The games are still good and the tickets cost less than half of what driving to Atlanta to see the braves would.

Andi: I agree! I love minor league games. This weekend I shall journey all the way out to Geneva for some class A ball. Also my beloved Joliet Jackhammers (unaffiliated Northern League) don't start until May.

Kristen: The weather in Chicago is always crazy, last night being nuttier than usual. As my father said: Having the home opener on a Sunday night in Chicago in April is asking for trouble.

As a Milwaukee-an, I almost feel obligated to cheer on the Brewers. However, my self-control has gotten exceedingly strong lately.

We won our season opener! When was the last time that happened? Well, I'm still incredibly happy that it's baseball season. YAY!
