CD 1 of my Sims2 is busted, so I cannot install it.

I tried once to figure out somebody to contact at EA Games, but I failed.

Grah...
They sure do make these discs filmsy... I really, really, REALLY don't want to buy a new copy as that is a lot of money.

Unless it's the special DVD version...

I own my copy of SIMS 2, but like with most of my games I hate having to put the CD in every time I play. So I downloaded a crack that lets me play it without the CD. If you download DAEMON it will emulate a seperate drive on your computer. Then download the crack and mount it on to DAEMON. I'm not sure if it's entirely legal, but so long as you own the game I think it's completely moral.

So why doesn't Porter make a copy of CD-2 and Syn make a copy of CD-1 and exchange them? Then you'll both have a working copy!

I remember a couple companies that had fairly cheap disk replacement policies. For about $10 or so they'd replace the disk if you sent in the broken one. It's been a while, so I'm not sure if companies still do that, but it's at least something to look into.

I'm not sure where I saw it either. Probably a figment of my imagination/poor reading comprehension.

I think a replacement disk would cost $13.
