There's this one woman whose ad has been running a lot lately. She likes to talk about how everyone else wants to use recovery money to bail out the power company, while SHE is more concerned with YOUR electric bill. How DARE everyone else (whoever "everyone else" is) suggest that some money go to the power company!

I imagine there are numerous candidates. I don't usually follow local politics (anywhere) but that election seems like it has the potential to be one of the most...entertaining (since I'm not actually forced to see it) ever.

Last I heard there were over 20 candidates running. The paper started doing daily articles about each person which I guess is nifty since I can't imagine any other way of researching every single candidate.
I was home for Spring break a few days ago and I was so happy to get away from the ads when I left.

The Times-Picayune is sponsoring one of the candidates, though. I don't remember which one. Maybe Ron Forman. I can't keep track of which one is which.
