Story here.

They're not sure a tsunami was even generated, but those on the Pacific coast should definitely keep an eye out.

There was a tsunami watch for the state of Hawaii, but it was downgraded to an advisory about 30 minutes ago. I haven't heard anything about the rest of the Pacific.

According to the BBC's article, Fiji and New Zealand are under tsunami warnings, whereas the rest of islands in the Pacific are under a tsunami watch.

Kiwi Hatrackers, what are you hearing locally? How far are you guys from the coasts?

THE WARNING WILL NOT EXPAND TO OTHER AREAS OF THE PACIFIC UNLESS ADDITIONAL DATA ARE RECEIVED TO WARRANT SUCH AN EXPANSION.
