^^ -- the worst part is that I promised myself to spare myself and do it one page a day, and start a week in advance [Razz] .

Does anyone here know how to use Chicago format? Like a website or something? I can't seem to find anything on it.

Would a better title be "How FBI Counterintelligence Promoted McCarthyism" ?

How specific are you going to get?

Is "How FBI Counterintelligence Promoted McCarthyism in 195X" a possibility?

I think you're looking for the "Chicago Manual of Style"... google it.

1) Yeah, that would be a better title -- thanks [Smile] . 2) No, I'm not doing a specific year, though I am doing an era, that of the cold war.
3) Thanks, as well, for the google advice.

You should cite Designated Targets, John Birmingham, as a source. :nods:

Two hours in...been working on and off, making progress, reaching the critical "one third through" point. Must squeeze brains for the crucial middle part; all downhill for there.

YES! Done.
Wow. I like it a lot. It's powerful. I also learnt a lot from it. I didn't know that the FBI was such a bully in protecting its interests, that it routinly broke into the houses of people just because it felt like it, and so on...

Yay!

(Hopefully it'll raise my average to an A).

We need more neurotic, paranoid zealots in congress with names that start with Mc.
