Blayne, you are a stand-up guy, with tons more grace and maturity than a lot of folk around here. I can't remember how many Hatrackers have flounced off with a "Goodbye Forever, Hatrack!" thread in response to criticism from the group. But none of that from you. You take criticism remarkably gracefully, take to heart suggestions that people make, and try to contribute to the group.

The nice thing about a blog is that you don't have to show any restraint. You can talk about anything you wish for as long as you wish. And if anyone complains, tell them to beat it.

And do not google the meaning of Tongzhi, its original meaning is "Comrade" but appears there have been some changes in China since the 70's, if you mention it I will hunt you down.

Blayne, this is the bumpiest thread I've ever met.

It is kind of poor form for the originator of a thread to keep bumping up to the top of the front page. If the thread merits attention, it usually gets it. Lots of times it gets it even if it doesn't merit attention.

Those among us who want to follow your livejournal can bookmark it.
