Due to the climate of political correctness now pervading America, Kentuckians, Tennesseans, North Carolinians, Virginians and West Virginians will no longer be referred to as "HILLBILLIES."

You must now refer to us as

APPALACHIAN-AMERICANS.

Actually the now non-PC term 'hillbillies' only exist in East Tennessee. The rest of them are rednecks.

Now see- I live in TN and lived there all my life- but my mother made sure to raise me like a Yankee.

I want to start a movement to get Michiganders renamed as Mitten-Americans, or Troll-Americans.

Both are fun.

See, Tresopax, there's a whole bunch of Virginia to the south and west of Charlottesville that qualifies as Hillbilly country.

I love Virginia; we've got class, we've got the Tech Corridor, and we also have bluegrass and (for everyone else) moonshine stills. We are the perfect example of the Beautiful South.
