Hi everybody,

I 'll begin by a presentation as I am new here.
I am French, 23. I am finishing International Management studies in a French Business School (marketing, management of projects, finance, human resources...).
With my boyfriend we'd like to go abroad to find a job for a year or so. We are particularly interested in coming to Canada or the United States.
I was wondering if you had any idea where I could look for a job (I already put my resume on the major web sites, and still looking in French companies which have branches in North America).
I speak English, French of course, Spanish and a bit of Italian. I am really interested in the management of projects (just now, i am in internship in a bank doing strategic surveillance).
Let me just add that last summer I traveled to Vancouver, Vancouver Island and then Seattle, Bellingham and Spokane in Washington state, it was just fantastic! and there is so much else to discover...

Well I don't want to bother you with too many details. If by any chance you know something that could help, I would be very very grateful!
Thank you everybody!!

I would check out http://jobbank.gc.ca for jobs in Canada. They have both French and English jobs online there, from all over the country. There's also www.workopolis.com which is fairly popular You might want to check out the requirements for a work visa as well. I'm not sure what sort of restrictions there might be.

My brother-in-law works in that field in Dallas. There are usually some openings for jobs in his company... I can do some asking and checking.

Ocean City, MD gets tons of international students working their each year. I used to work with many from Ireland, England, France, Belarus, and a few others. The hotels are a great place to start and get a little management experience.

I have no idea where to start. My suggestion, while you're still in France, would be to figure out what U.S. / Canada-based companies have major offices / locations in France, as these will be the companies most likely interested in having French-speaking representatives in their offices.

Well any kind in Marketing, Economic Intelligence, International Trade, Finance....
I have some experience as a commercial and in strategic watch (is that correct?) for the marketing department of a bank. I also have experience in managing groups of people as a sailing instructor.

Thank you everybody for all your help, I'll look at everything. [Smile]

Those, and, y'know, any company in Quebec.
