I started a thread about the arrest of Kent Hovind. It seems to have disappeared. Has anyone seen it?

No! I refreshed my page and saw it, then clicked on it right away and it said that the thread did not exist. I figured you'd deleted it for some reason.

Not me, no - at least not intentionally. Surely not our esteemed moderator? I did check my email, but nothing.

It only had 5 replies in the seconds before it so mysteriously dissapeared. I doubt it could've escalated to a point where PJ would just up and delete it in 5 posts. It's all very strange.

I doubt if Pop deleted it without any warning; not his style.
However, if someone else with admin/mod powers saw it and was having a bad day, they might have deleted it with no warning. That's my guess.

Actually, I've self-deleted without intention to do so while in the process of editing a reply. Something to do with accidentally bumping my mouse while simultaneously hitting a letter key.
"Who's Kent Hovind?"
quote:A Pensacola evangelist who owns the defunct Dinosaur Adventure Land in Pensacola was arrested Thursday on 58 federal charges, including failing to pay $473,818 in employee-related taxes and making threats against investigators. Of the 58 charges, 44 were filed against Kent Hovind and his wife, Jo, for evading bank reporting requirements as they withdrew $430,500 from AmSouth Bank between July 20, 2001, and Aug. 9, 2002.
The premise behind Dinosaur Adventure Land being that humans and dinosaurs coexisted in the manner portrayed on the Flintstones.

Well, since the consensus seems to be glitch and not mod, let me repeat : I gloat. I rejoice. I positively chortle with glee. There is justice!

Yeah, deleting threads just dignifies them by making people curious what was in them. Wheras KOM's bitterness against all things connected with religion is old news. I doubt any of the mods would have done that on purpose.
