Not only am I lost on what to do, but I'm also lost as an american.
Today I lost my wallet which had my last two sources of identification. My Driver's Permit, and my Social Security Card. My Birth certificate and passport were lost a long while ago, and now I don't exist.
What do I do? What can I do?- It seems that all forms of Identification need other forms of ID to replace them... I feel like throwing up. I just turned 21 and now I can't prove it. I can't get a job. I can't leave the country. I can't handle this..
It's late, and no one is awake here but me. I'm in dire need of some direction.
I've come to hatrack.

If your an American, then it shouldn't matter where you were born! Besides, if you were born on a base, then its the same as being born in the US isn't it?

??? Most DMV's in most states now have your picture on file. They can ask for ID from you if they suspect fraud, but if you look like your picture and can answer some basic questions they can issue a new license. That will at least get you started.
Being an American, the US government has a record of your birth. The fact that you were born overseas should not matter, as if there was any doubt who you were they wouldn't allowed you to come to the US at all.
With a license and a birth certificate you can get a new social security card and passport.

And also, once you get everything replaced, never carry your social security card in your wallet. Seriously. It should be home in a safe place. You're going to have to be very careful about checking your credit report for identity theft issues now.
