Any Second Lifers here?

I'm still in the "wandering around like a drunken spastic" phase, but it's been interesting. Soon I'll be deep in the "obsessively figuring the whole thing out and making my own insanely detailed place" phase, after which I'll quickly get bored. Much like The Sims, in fact. But for now, it's fun.

Can I be VP of this club?

Incidentally I played The Sims in high school until I realized my life in The Sims was far more prosperous than my real life would probably ever be. The game started making me mad at that point.

I proceeded to create a character named "MackDaddy" When I was done with him he had 3 seperate households and families, and I gave up the game forever.

It may become a column, but then again just about everything in my life eventually will.

I tried it out, but didn't want to invest the time necessary to learn the scripting language, which was what I would have needed to do to make the game really fun.

Some of my online acquaintances use it. They say it's okay as long as one has a high tolerance for "furries" wandering around.

Its always sounded cool, but I'm afraid that it might become a big time sink, so I'm trying to stay away.

(Cause, its not like I have trouble wasting time as it is.)

My GF actually uses second life for business meetings. She's been trying to get me into SL too, but I don't really need another vastly time-consuming videogame at the moment.

Is that what they're calling them now?
