To bridge the gap in the season for 24, to celebrate Keifer's Emmy win (and Jon Cassar's--the man BEST direct the 24 movie, or I'll get all up ons), and because I dang well feel like it, I humbly request sharing your favorite moments from past seasons.

I recently re-watched Season 1, and discovered this forgotten gem:

Jack's sitting in the limo, his only lead now dead. He is waiting to see who the dead man was waiting to meet, hoping it might give him some hope of a thread of something. The man arrives, and gets in the car.

And it's the man whose been stalking his wife all night, pretending to be someone else.

The guy sees Jack, freaks, and starts firing.

Jack doesn't even flinch as the guy unloads his gun into the bulletproof glass inches from Jack's face.

Gun empty, Jack back the limo up, guns it, then slams the brakes, sending the guy flying into the same glass, smashing his face.

For me, the scene was way more cathartic than, say, when Jack shot Nina.

Jack torturing people.

Just because he's so good at it.

And no specific time. All of them. [Smile]

(I think we might have to watch them over again. Good thing we have 'em on DVD.)

Two words:
*mountain *lion.

But seriously, for me it's hard to top Jack cutting off Chase's hand. That was definitely a high point.

I also really liked George Mason taking the bomb down into the Mojave desert.

The greatest 24 moment all always be Jack bringing in a State's Evidence guy (who knows NOTHING about the nuclear bomb about to go off) and shooting him in the chest in order to get close to the person who DOES know about the bomb. Jack screams "I NEED A HACKSAW!"

In the next scene, he's carrying a bowling bag.

When Jack shot one of his bosses in the head on the whim of the terrorists. That was just screwed up.

I've seen some of those saying before: here.

(Ashamed to admit she's only watched 1 1/2 hours of "24". But it's because of working evenings,I swear.)
