The Imagine Peace Festival. is tomorrow at Library Square. It's not at all fair for me to call it my festival since other people did most of the work, but it was my idea so I'm really excited to see it come together.

If you are in the Salt Lake area, come and join us between noon and 6 pm tomorrow. web page. I will be participating on the "Religious People Imagine Peace" panel as well as cheering with "Pom Poms not Bomb Bombs".

I don't know whether to say 'Good Luck' or 'Have Fun'. So, good fun. [Smile]

Or we could just go with the German, "Viel Glück" which means both have fun and good luck.

Ever wonder why pom-poms came to be used to promote a school's fighting spirit?
Imitating cannon fire.

You will be rained on. Do you have your waterproof pom-poms back from the cleaners?

No, The forcast for tomorrow is for partly cloudy. Only 20% chance of rain. With any luck at all, we won't get rained on.

Technically, what we use in cheerleading are "Pompons" not Pom Poms.

This actually sounds like a really, really cool thing. I hope all goes well. I'm not in the Salt Lake area anymore, or I would go.... But maybe my sister will want to go. I'll call her and mention it to her. Sounds right up her alley.

Happy Rosh Hashana rivka!
(Is that the approprite wish? Probably not. Perhaps "Shabbat Shalom" but that doesn't recognize the significance of this particular shabbat.

That would work just fine. [Smile]

More traditional wishes are for a Happy and Sweet New Year (Shana tova u'metukah in Hebrew, or A gut g'bentched yar in Yiddish).

May it be a year of peace and joy for us all!
