In English, with Japanese subtitles...

Looks a lot more promising than the teaser did.

I like that the emphasis is on Charlotte this time, and not gratuitous bovine flatulence gags.

It did look good. I'm suprised. I wasn't really looking forward to this movie.

I will say though, staring at a "real" spider like that did kind of creep me out. I never pictured myself as arachnophobic in the least, but maybe I am. [Dont Know] .

My god that pig is cute.

Spider creeped me out a little, but Julia Roberts soothed it over a bit.

Was the girl able to hear the animals speak in the book? She couldn't in the old cartoon movie.

As I recall, she could hear them in the book. I remember a scene in the book where she's trying to tell her family about all the antics the animals have been up to, and her mother scolds her for telling crazy stories.

This movie doesn't look bad, but I'm having a problem with Julia Roberts as Charlotte. Actually I think her voice is fantastic for the part, but I can never forget that it's Julia Roberts and for some reason it distracts and irritates me (although I like Julia Roberts). But maybe that'll wear off as the film goes.

Yes, Fern could understand the animals in the book. [Smile]
