I had a dream that I was over at my parent’s house for dinner but when I walked in the door there was a huge party with press and photographers and clusters of people in suits. I suddenly remembered that tonight was supposed to be ‘campaign night’ and sure enough, I could recognize some of the candidates I am supposed to be considering. I only got brief glimpses of faces because they were surrounded by staff and people firing off questions. Deciding this was all a little much, I made my way out to the back deck, where I knew my sister and her husband would be smoking. When I got out there, I saw they were talking to someone with a familiar voice. He turned around and sure enough, it was Barack Obama. I said “Oh my god, Barack Obama is here.” (articulate even in my dreams, I tell you!) Then a bunch of suits came out and said ‘we have to go’ in very serious tones. Someone put a jacket over Sen. Obama’s head and they whisked him away. I followed them into the house, trying to get close enough to talk to him even though I had no idea what I would say. Then suddenly we were all in a car (might have been a limo) with Sen. Obama in the front seat and me in the back. We were apparently going to a party. There was a TV in the car and someone was talking about all the important people who were going to be at this party, and she got all excited and announced in a ‘this just in’ sort of way that Barack Obama would be in attendance. I thought to myself that Irami was going to be, like, -so- jealous, and then I woke up.
It’s clearly a sign *nods*
Or else I saw Barack Obama on television while I was over at my parent's house for dinner. One or the other.
