I'm uncomfortable with the idea of there being threads which exist for the sole purpose of evaluating the quality of a single hatracker.

I'm even more uncomfortable with the idea that such a thread can be posted from a "just curious" kind of neutral standpoint. If the originator of such a thread were neutral, or had no opinion on the topic, the thread would never be created.

I'm uncomfortable with threads that ask for the opinion of hatrack regarding *any* potentially controversial topic, when the originator does not state his or her opinion on the topic.

What does everyone else think?

I agree wholeheartedly with you. In fact, I've gotten in the habit of completely ignoring such threads, as they tend to be locked within hours nowadays.

Tom and TL are right. I apologize for my post. I'd delete it (in fact, I already attempted to do so), but I can't do that in a locked thread.

My mistake. I'd say just tell me next time, although I feel like a complete jerk now so there probably won't be one, ever. I should have used adjectives instead of a name. Like I said, my mistake. I apologize.

Don't worry yourself too much over it. It's amazing how life goes on when lessons are learned, or however you want to phrase it.
