I think it's one of the most important broadcasts I've heard especially in light of the election.
It shows in the most fairminded way I've seen or heard exactly what's going right and what is going wrong with our approach to the Iraq war and the delicate one on one daily outreaches that can't be interrupted by a hasty or illadvised withdrawl or scale-down. You hear things from each perspective.
I'm a democrat and I didn't much like the tone or content of most of Card's "the only thing that matters in this election" essay. But this show has evidence, lots of hard evidence, that proves his claims about why we can't withdrawl. No imaginary strawmen examples, but first hand accounts of whats working and what we've done right, even as the civilian body count is much higher than we want to know.
It's a terrificly produced piece. I could swear I thought it was only twenty minutes long, it was so engrossing.

This is a great story. It provides a good idea of both sides of this, and I found it fascinating.
Mark Garlasco was a great interview...talk about an insiders view, from someone who helped target specific buildings and bombing runs.
Not someone who is easily discounted.
It is still hard to determine who was a civilian and who wasn't, but the body count is probably accurate. It doesn't suprise me that Falluja had a huge body count, and the US forces inflicted far less casualties than all previous wars.
