And how they did it.

That is one heck of a lot of bouncy balls. My favorite line, from the making of:

"It's all about the balls."

Wow, watching those things rocket down the hill in the behind-the-scenes was a "Woah!" moment. Those folks got the heck out of the way, and I don't blame them!

I'm not sure that I would necessarily go buy the product after seeing that, but it sure is an awesome piece of cinematography. Tou can't help but smile after seeing that!

Coolest thing I've seen in a long time. And I love the frog coming out of the drain pipe! Awesome.

Very cool!

I am very amused, however, by how they went on an on about how "real" it was (no CG, etc.), but the best bit is entirely staged, and the whole thing has gone from real (noisy, almost a violent attack) to fluffily unreal (slow, surreal, gentle-as-soap-bubbles).

After seeing that, I would watch a full-length movie of bouncing super-balls. There are so many excellent places to try that same experiment.

Thanks kojabu!

But what did they do with the balls afterwards?
How did they clean them all up?

That was so cool! The motion of the balls kind of reminds me of a cloud of smoke or a flock of birds. So pretty!

That's such an awesome commercial. It makes me miss San Francisco a little.

JT Stryker asked me to post that this idea was stolen from his senior prank. Which I must say was quite impressive, though it didn't involve California. Lots of balls.

Why was that clown in the paint one? Clowns are scary. [Angst]
