Some of you know that my mother is visiting with Kwea and I here in Florida this week, which is for me, an early Christmas present. This is the time of year that being away from family can really get you down, so it means a lot to be able to spend time with her. Kwea and I planned to take her to EPCOT to see the Candlelight Processional, and along the way we stopped to visit with friends and share a nice meal. We met up with Icarus and Cor (spelling?) and their 2 girls at Logan's Roadhouse down near Disney World on Sunday evening. We had a very nice evening. The girls were so excited to see us again, and that always makes you feel good. Megan kept me entertained from the moment we sat down until we left the restaurant! Ana made me look like a lightweight when she finished every bite of food on her plate. I was not able to do the same, so I was impressed. It was so delightful to spend some time with them. They are both very sweet and it was a joy to see their smiling faces again. Of course their parents are pretty cool to hang out with too! We had a very nice evening catching up and hope that we can get together again soon. After all, we need to play another round of Nightmare! My mother had a great time as well, and enjoyed meeting up with Icarus et al as it had been a year since she last saw them all. In fact, she has asked me for an address where she might send a note, so Icarus please send me a message with that info at your earliest convenience.
It was simply a wonderful time spent having fun with friends and family and my wish this year is for everyone here at Hatrack to enjoy the same.
