...when it started with Batman: The Animated Series back in 1992, it showed what a darkly dramatic super-hero series could truly be, if allowed to be neither too gruesome nor too kiddie-fied.
Shows I (then a young teen), my youngest siblings (then pre-teens) and even my parents (well into middle age) all loved watching.
Last night, unadvertised and in an awkward time slot the Cartoon Network played the final episode of Justice League Unlimited. Most likely it will never be rerun, so I'll have to wait to enjoy a DVD collection to watch this season's take on the "Hero-Villain War" concept.

The character first appeared on an episode of BB, and Terry turned up on one episode of "Zeta".

There were also "Timmverse" animated DCU series proposed for:
Robin Catwoman Lobo The Power of Shazam! (Captain Marvel and the Marvel Family) The Legion of Super-Heroes
...yet none of them progressed beyond the preliminary stages.
(There will be a LSH cartoon next fall, though it won't be set in the Timmverse)
And there was the "Gotham Girls" web series.

A Lobo show would be hysterical. Sluggy Freelance did a great sendup of Lobo in the Punyverse storyline.

Since Bruce Timm's art style was the basis for the marjority of the character designs, one of the nicknames for this adaptation of the DCU is the "Timmverse".

Supposedly "The Batman" (the childish, poorly written, Jackie-Chan-as-Bruce-Wayne Saturday morning show) is going to be a lot better next season, with Paul Dini coming on as a writer and the producers promosing a darker direction.
Hey, maybe they'll give the Joker some shoes.

The really funny thing is, the producer of "The Batman" -bragged- about different his show was from the Dini/Timm version.

I just caught this, the final episode even had a nod to Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. When Ice/Icemaiden and Fire/Green Flame activate their powers, they use the same motions and FX Iceman and Firestar used to do on the older show. Posts: 6689 | Registered: Jan 2005

There actually was a Lobo web show, similar to the Gotham Girls web show, that was rather adult oriented. I've never seen it, and couldn't really point out to you where to find the episodes themselves, so I can't get really detailed on it.
I think there's a section at The World's Finest website, though (wf.toonzone.net).

The Lobo flash cartoon series can be viewed these days on via links on his "Wikipedia" entry. It seems to be a separate continuity from the Dini/Timm animated DCU. Different character designs, different voices, and a tone more like the '95-'99 Alan Grant-written Lobo comic than the Keith Giffen original.

One of my favorite episodes of the final JLU season was the Supergirl/Legion of Super-Heroes episode. It had some interesting (and sensible) views on Kara's character...especially the differences between how she and her adopted cousin view Earth.
