OK, friend is stretching it -- a former co-worker with whom I haven't communicated in years. But I always liked her a lot!
She won yesterday's show and I'm really excited for her! Her name is Chris Renz and I'll be watching to see how she does today. I heard about her appearance via an email from someone who still works at the same place we both did.

Ill root for the exact same person I always root for when I watch Jeopardy, me.
I like it when I question more answers correctly then any of the other contestants, it makes me wish I was a contestant for real.

I know what you mean. Personally, I've found that it depends wildly on what the categories are for that day. I've had days where I would be extremely lucky to even get a positive score, but there have been days where I would have demolished the actual competitors. Of course, most times I've watched fall somewhere in the middle.

Isn't it really hard to even get on game shows? Just making it on TV is quite an accomplishment if you ask me.

She rocked yesterday--won over $24K. I'm not good at Jeopardy, so I'm pretty impressed.
And I do remember her talking about it way back when--it is very hard to get on the show. She tried more than once.

I knew someone who tried like ten times to get on 'Who Wants To Be a Millionaire' but they never made it. Apparently she had to take a little trivia quiz over the phone, and then get entered into a phone pool where they just randomly drew out the phone numbers of people trying to get on the show. That was way back when the show was popular though.

A girl from my high school made it onto College Jeopardy. We were very confused as to why she even got on in the first place, but then we realized that they needed someone to lose spectacularly...
