Basically I install the beta, click the shortcut/exe I see an opening screenshot of the Human Commander and then the program crashes and gives me this error.
It makes NO sense, a previous version of the beta worked and the error refers to an nonexistent directory.

i have the SupComm beta too and love it. the AI is kinda tough, but its just a different type of RTS than im used to now-a-days. a Total Annihilation sequel is finally here!!! im def getting this game.
cant really help ya with your problem, just thought i would post cuz a lot of ppl dont remember TA or think SC doesnt look all that great. im glad to see ppl playing.
