I'm only 2 hours away and I think I'm gonna go this Saturday. Is there anyone else here in the area of Southwest Virginia that will be there? For that matter, does anybody here actually GO to SVU?
I'm sure it'll be a great watch...but really...

I don't know that ANY production of Taming of the Shrew can compete with the Moonlighting version.

He was always David, never "Dave." And it didn't jump the shark -- it was shoved across it by idiot writers. OTOH, "no show that good should be allowed to lose the main tension point"??? What, they should have continued lusting after each other, unrequited, forever?
The problem is not that they finally got together. It's that the writers couldn't figure out what to do with them afterwards. Unfortunately a common affliction; it killed Lois&Clark too. I don't disagree with you. But the success of the show relied so much on the friction between them, they could never be happy together and have it be the same show.

1) So have them still squabble. Heavens knows squabbling married couple shows often survive many seasons. 2) Maybe not the same show. But it didn't have to be a worse one, either. The death of that show was entirely self-fulfilling prophecy in action.

You guys should have some kind of Will & Grace show. Scott could be the kooky, uptight Mormon, and Rivka could be the wacky Jew. It'd be hilarious, I tells ya.

I totally agree. The rewritten parts were absolutely hilarious while never detracting from the style. OSC's direction was also spot on, with very well-choreographed timing and action.
And yes--I got to meet Mr. Card himself. Totally cool.

I didn't go thru extensively, but at least some of Sly's comments were *added* by OSC. The one about the cats made the play, for me!
