Oscar Night mafia! I've decided to mod as the accounting firm of PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where we're too tight to put spaces and punctuation in our own name. Sign-up thread.
Okay, since the Oscar thing is about to expire, we are going to switch this to six degrees of Kevin Bacon. That means there can be real clues and rigorous enough analysis will nab you some killers. In that view, I think we may play the sherriffs variation. I'll work up the rules.

If ya'll can wait until the weekend is over (I'm out of town) then I'll play. Though I have to warn you, I've never played before.

Actually, I'm changing it to 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon Mafia. It will be all clues and analysis. Will the clues get you to where you need to go?

To answer Running Bear, Mafia is like a virtual murder mystery weekend getaway. There are various roles and stuff. I'm trying to decide between the SKIDS variety we usually use online (where in a addition to a mafia with Godfather you have Serial Killer, 1 sheriff, and a doctor but none of them know who each other is.) The other type which has only been tried online once to my knowledge is a team of mafia and a team of sheriffs. I'll have to powow with Porteiro about it.
