This had a pre-Broadway trial in Chicago. And I seem to recall that it got a cruddy review. I wanted to go see it but couldn't scrape up the money in time. Of course, being pre-Broadway, I'm hopeful that they've worked out some of the kinks...

From what I hear (several of them would come and sing at our sessiun) they were aware of the problems and did some serious retooling before NY.

*nod* Fiddler on the Roof was a flop in its prebroadway run as well. For that matter, so was Wicked, I seem to recall.

Good, I'm glad to hear this. Maybe I'll get to see it yet!

My friend Joe just saw this, and came back thoroughly disappointed. But he saw it in its pre-run in Chicago, so maybe that explains it.
