We just found out yesterday that our child will be a boy! Jackson! We'll be calling him Jack. He is due to arrive 9/9 and his big sister is mostly excited. She said she'd rather have a puppy at one point but has also said she wants to take him to the beach. She'll almost be 3 when he gets here so we hope she doesn't try to trade him in for a puppy. Check out the pics. He's giving the peace sign in one! He's so cute!

Very very cool! Congratulations!

(As a side note, you might want to obscure all personal identifying information from those ultrasounds.)

Thanks Quidscribis! We felt really dumb for not noticing that ourselves! Jack doesn't yet have a Hatrack name. Neither does my daughter Leslie, but her nickname is LeeLou so I guess that would be hers. Please feel free to think of one for Jack!

Yeah, we loved The Fifth Element too! And her name is Leslie Lewis. So we figure Le & Lew were already there and it would be cool to have a nickname after a kick butt female character so there you are. We've been kicking things around for Jack but nothing has stuck except maybe Travelin' Jack from the Stephen King book the Talisman. We both loved that character and Lord knows we go enough places for it to qualify. But we're still thinking on it. I may have to find my Peace Bear Beanie Baby for him and put his little ultrasound pic by it!

Soo cute. We cracked up over "it's a boy"-- that was pretty obvious (at least to us, we've had two girls!)

Obviously that's a V for Victory! He's signaling his upcoming campaign to conquer the world. I hope he'll let me be an adviser [Wink]

Great name. My name is Jack, as is my dad and grandfather. If I had a boy, I was going to name him Jackson. We ended up having four girls. Now, we have a dog name Jackson.

Good luck.

My Hubby really, really, really wanted a son and knew that this was his last shot so to speak so he researched ways to increase the odds of having a boy. I don't know if it worked or he just got lucky. I don't know anything about boys! I am the oldest of 4 girls. This is going to be a whole new world for me. Hubby is so proud you'd think he did this all by himself! I pity his coworkers tomorrow. He's going to be strutting around like a peacock! I might have to send in sympathy cupcakes or something!
