I've been following that Utah Jazz and their epic playoff run.

Let me just say that if referees were awarded stats for points that resulted from calls they made, the refs from last night should have their numbers retired in San Antonio's AT&T center.

Never in my life have I seen such idiotic calls, and one sidedness.

The Jazz get 2 free throws in the 4th quarter?! (I could even be mistaken on that with it being 2 free throws for the 2nd half)

When players get knocked down there MUST be a foul commited somewhere either on the offense or defense, play does not just continue!

Flopping is getting UTTERLY ridiculous, when a player can cut into a player who is not looking and flail onto the wood and get a technical called that is just pathetic.

When a player like Derek Fisher gets 2 technicals within 2 minutes and is thrown out of the game looking like he has no idea what just happened it makes me want to cry blood.

I don't fault Jerry Sloan for yelling at that ref, but it just felt even more bitterly ironic when that stupid ref sent him out of the game.

I won't say, the Jazz would have won for sure had the refs been fair, but I will say the Jazz certainly lost last night's game because of terrible referees.

Referees don't win or lose games, and to say otherwise is a copout.

The refs were bad last night. But then, I almost never think otherwise.

If a loss is the result of a complicated equation, I would say the mistaken referee factor was uncharacteristically prevalent.

That's as nice as I am willing to say it.

you can interject "largely in part.." in the middle of "..lost last night's game" and "because of terrible referees."

I agree its a copout to place the blame solely in the shoulders of refs.

The subjectiveness of professional basketball's officiating is one of the main reasons I don't watch it. NCAA ball is much more exciting, and, IMHO, fair.

College basketball is more exciting because the offenses are more wide-open and the three point line's closer. Which means that a team is never really out of the game.

Speaking of refs having a big effect on the outcome of a game...anyone catch the end of the Mets/Giants game last night? 2 balks called on Armando Benitez in the bottom of the 12th brought home the tying run, right after the Giants had taken the lead in the top half of the inning. 'Balkin' Bob Davidson called the first one that I'm fairly sure happens at least 6 times every game. The second one was a bit more obvious, with Benitez flinching while watching Reyes dance around on third base. Pretty fun for the first MLB game I've caught in a while.

Good! The Jazz should lose. Runnin' around beating the Rockets before we even had a chance to murderize 'em. Who plays ball like that? Huh? Pfft! That's who.

im more interested in the eastern conference. Im really pulling for James and Gibson in Cleveland.

but tbh, i dont really like the spurs. they play rough like u said. So Im pullin for the Jazz as well. I want it to be the Jazz and the Cav's.
