Ok, I am buying a monitor some time within two weeks this time. I like some of the monitors I have found at newegg.com, and the prices have some down.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I am looking at staying under $200, and if anyone has a promo code they know of I would appreciate it.
I found two BenQ ones on sale, as well as an LG. Both are really good brands from what I hear.

That Hanns-G 19" widescreen is probably your best buy at Newegg that's under $200. Based on the reviews, it looks pretty darn reliable. I'm looking at probably getting one pretty soon myself.

according to friends who are well read in regards to this most moniters are made more or less by the same manufacturors and simply relabelled when sold to different brands, as long as you have a 1-3 year warranty on it your good. 19" is also a good bet as well.

How good are Acers? I have heard conflicting stories.....
Thanks tough, that is a great deal. It is one of the few deals better than I could find on-line. I forget to check there because I had a bad experience at one in MA, but that was more the idiot I was dealing with than the actual store.

I have an Acer, and I like it just fine. It's probably not the best monitor ever, but I've had it for two years and it hasn't had any problems. The only complaint I have is that there's a faint glow around the edge from the backlight, but it's only noticeable on a dark screen.
