I am having trouble and need help from Hatrack. I can't find a white glove. You see, someone insulted my honor and I need a white glove so I can challenge him to a pistol duel.

You can demand an apology first, as the offended party. If he apologizes, the matter is settled. If he refuses, he must therefore think he wasn't lying in his insult, and the matter must be decided by a duel to the first blood (if using swords) or one pass with pistols. Or a method of your choosing, as the offended party.
However, if he, say, hit a lady, an apology is not enough to settle. It requires two pistol passes.

I prefer to use a steel gauntlet. It makes a more serious statement, and often gives you a distinct advantage in the duel.

White Gloves? What kind of namby-pamby freedom-hater are you? There's only one way to call someone out, and that's a 9-inch bowie knife driven through the ace of spades on the card table in the back of the saloon.
