Wait, so it's not a misspelling relating to morgues and bloated corpses?

Youtube Corner Gas: Werewolves vs. Robots

I don't watch this show too much, but it's fun when I do catch it. Can get overly snarky. Still, yay Canadian content laws.

Is it shown regularly stateside? I know Red Green is semi-popular* and Trailer Park Boys would probably be huge, but I never seem to hear people from south of the border talking about Corner Gas.

*Though I don't know if the good early seasons are popular or if the horrendous CBC produced later seasons are the ones getting played.

I miss Red Green. *sigh*

My favorite episode is the one where he put the sunroof in the van. On the side of the van, really, with a huge box-like glass window structure that stuck out a foot and a half or so. With duct tape, of course. [Big Grin]

I always loved "Adventures with Bill." When Rick Green left, the plain old "Adventures" segments just couldn't hold up.

I loved that show. Every September, my best friend's family and I would go to Toronto for a taping. Her dad and uncles always dressed "up" and were extras several times. I think we were there for 7 or 8 seasons. I was so sad when it ended.

I don't know if Corner Gas is playing in the US yet, but it is supposed to start being carried on Superstation WGN sometime this year.

I love the dry wit coupled with the lack of a laugh track. Nicely written. It took me a while to get into the series, though, as the pace and humor is different from anything else I've seen on television recently. If you try it out, give it three episodes.

Dave's uncle met Brent Butt (writer and lead character) on a plane and found him quite a nice, intelligent fella.

That's the uncle that looks like Red Green. *grin

They show Red Green on Iowa Public Television on Saturdays.

Cayla wants me to say that her favorite episode was when Red Green made a car able to parallel park by sliding between two cars. Duct tape was, of course, involved.

My dad dressed as Red Green for this year's Boy Scout banquet.

We love watching Red Green on PBS.

The myriad of uses of duct tape on that show never ceases to amaze me.
