I recently bought the third season of "The Office" from the iTunes Store. Unfortunately, iTunes' video playback sucks beyond all reckoning. Despite the fact that these are relatively low-resolution videos (similar-quality videos in other formats play smooth as silk on VLC and DivX Player, for comparison), watching them on iTunes inevitably results in choppy playback, dropped frames, and general crappy performance.

Are there any video players or codecs available that I can use to watch these videos, other than iTunes itself? The files are Apple's DRM'd proprietary format, and my basic VLC install (which recognizes every other codec under the sun) can't play them.

Any assistance you guys could offer would be greatly appreciated. [Smile]

There's Tunebite, but only use it for your own personal purposes.
