I love it to pieces. No pun intended. Well, not much of a pun intended. I've been tempted to go and read Darkly Dreaming Dexter, the book the show is based on, but I'm afraid of spoilers.

Same thing, Lisa. Already located a local bookstore where I could buy "Darkly Dreaming Dexter", but I don't know how closely inspired in the book this series is. So, I'm also afraid of spoilers.

"Darkly Dreaming Dexter" was a great read. I don't get Showtime, so I'll have to wait for the DVDs to come out on this one. Therefore I can't say how close the show is to the tone of the book. The book was delightfully witty. Its told in the first person from Dexter's POV and he has a very dark and funny sense of humor. There is a sequel too. The author is Jeffrey Lindsay.

I watched all of season 1 over the course of a few days. Season 2 is looking great so far. My wife can't watch it (too gory), but I'm loving it. (alone)

So I am in the middle of season 1 now and I noticed some music that occasionally plays that reminds me of Magic Bus. Anyone else notice that?
