I found some old short stories I was once writing back in 8th grade, some odd 7 years ago.

And here they are, I hope they weren't too bad, this wa back in my Everquest Addiction stage.

[Blushing]

Also, I based all of the characters on our ingame characters, by "our" I mean mine, my brother's, and the characters of our close friends.

Maduar was mine, based on "Maduin" from Final Fantasy 3.

Authors Note

Come into a world of Goblins, Dragons, Elves, Dwarves, Iksars, Gods (Real), magic, danger, and best of all adventure! This is the world of Norrath. For those who had read my previous books you’ll find familiar friends and enemies, encounter new foes and friends, so keep reading for this is the world of Norrath before the long lost continent of Velious was discovered and became a adventurers paradise for Kunark was the place to be. This story involves a plot to escape, close calls, near death experiences, long day by day travel, slavery, hot battles, grave robbing, and travel by sea. So enjoy the story for I know I will whaahahaha.

My friends and whom I tracked down all helped in the endeavor to construct an account of what happened a few years ago and we realized that this is the story of a lifetime. We all agreed to tell the most honest and well thought accounts of what happened. But I can assure you that I have successfully reconstructed the tale and shall now narrate it to you. My children, their children, and their children’s, children; for I know that this story shall be, and must be passed down not from the decaying minds of elders, but by written and summarized accounts of what really happened two whole years ago. This is a story of our company. We traveled from our overprotective city of Neriak across Tunaria to find a purpose for our life other then to hate others, so please read with an open mind and heart. Our world depends on it.

First came the dragons of the age of scale, who flew the skies
And ruled the land, but then the elder gods and their creation came...
Then came the Dwarves of Brell Serilis, who work in
The mines for the wealth of nations
Next came the Elves, the fairest of em all, immortal and wealthy,
Friends of the woods, enemies of hate, and builders of cities of old
The warlord giants of Rallos Zek; came to fight and kill for fun intent
On protecting their lands
Then came the Dark elves, who hated all and trusted themselves, and killed
All that was good
Next came the Gnomes and the Merfolk too. They tinker with machines, and dig long tunnels, the Merfolk of Prexus guard his post, and swim the four seas
Then came Orcs and the Ogres too who waged war on em all
But then, they were crushed by the elder gods for invading the planes of power
Their empire ended, and their lands were burned they fled the gods to the end of time in hopes of hopes
Elven prosperity ended, when Ro ended the rains, for he was jealous, of
Their wealth
But then they fled and a new race was born
The mothers and fathers of humans came next,
Coined the barbarians by their language, and their warrior like ways
Then next the humans and their cities of old
Next came Cazic-Thule and created Iksars and Trolls
And this is the story of Norrath; you should and must remember for now and forever...

You are in our world now...

Chapter I: “The plan” Year 3215 A.V.

You could never tell the time here in Neriak for it was an underground city of evil. Every dark elf was supposed to be raised to hate all, and never put out trust or feelings to another. Marriages were often arranged and meant for producing children. Love was a word rarely used between dark elves until they became of age where they can marry. Children were trained from birth to become a master in whatever class (Only the most politically important children were trained in that fashion) and were not allowed to venture out until they became of age. But today… a small group of children were finally fed up with having to remain in their crowded city. They wanted out and were willing to do whatever it takes to escape from Neriak and have their own adventure that would be cherished for the rest of time…

Within the city the would-be company is preparing their plan to escape.

Sadly the above story was begun, ended, and restarted several times and yet never finished, I used it as a veyr convenient excuse to avoid venturing outdoors where all the meankids were, the dangers of the "outside" were just too much for me to handle, who knows what fell demons, and evil caricatures would have awaited me out there away from the protection of my solitude.

The below story was originally supposed to be... erhm... 800 words.........

.......

.......

ended up being.........

Introduction
This story starts in Freeport, 3675 AV. Where the whole adventure begins; our Heroes of the story join an entrepreneur guild that has taken over the Freeport military and government. It’s the Dominion and it’s navel superiority that makes it dominate the Ocean of tears but it wants to dominate and rule Norrath. Its leader is currently unknown so far, but we do know he’s in Freeport.

Chapter I
The Journey (change music to North Freeport)
In the windy and dirty city of Freeport my story begins. My name is Nharre. I was hoping of joining a guild where I could gain more information on the world and it’s inhabitance but instead I scribe an adventure that out does anything I wrote before.
In North Freeport:

Nharre: Ah yes, finally a guild worth joining, so I shall gain knowledge of the world.
Cealdor: I see… well I’m joining to gain the worlds most powerful spells.
Nharre: Hmm.
Meanwhile in east Freeport: (change music to East Freeport)
Shiek: Damn oh how am I going to get in this guild when I know nothing about seafaring.
Maduar: You don’t have to know about seafaring. All you need to know is how to fight.
Shiek: ……. Oh, really.
Maduar: Yup. When you know how to fight you will be assigned to fighting in land battles, but I’m confused, why would they want land battles when it’s a sea going guild?
Kurb: Because there will be small-scale land battles, when it comes to ports and beach heads other wise it’s none of your damn business!
Maduar: Who are you to tell us what to do?
Kurb: I’m the great Kurb Tolax! Of the 31st mercenary sea-borne platoon.
Maduar: Never heard of ya!
Shiek: Me neither…
Kurb: I won 29 victories for the combine alliance of Neriak and Freeport. <<Sigh>> it’s no longer like that.
Maduar: how come?
Shiek: Yah how come? We admire you now that we know you.
Kurb: Well ever since the Dominion came to power in Freeport. The Dominion got the Freeport Reserve and sea-borne militia to back it up. I lost many men in its quest for domination of the sea of tears. Sigh. It won’t even end there. Now I’m forced to recruit 2nd rate men with little or no fighting experience, and it gets worse the only good fighters are taking advantage of their power and aren’t even serious fighters, they don’t know why they’re even fighting unlike you two.
Maduar: Hmm I see.
Shiek: … Sad story.

In North Freeport that night: (Change music to Barret)

Cealdor: Nharre! Wake up you were accepted in the 31st Mercenary sea-borne Platoon.
Nharre: YES! That was the platoon I wanted to join.
Cealdor: Why’s that?
Nharre: Because! It’s the most mobile platoon in Freeport. It goes on more missions in a hundred different spots. Not only that, but. It’s leader I wanted to interview.
Cealdor: Oh I see.
Nharre: Now lets go back to sleep so we can get up bright and early tomorrow.
Cealdor: Yes I see.

In east Freeport that Night: (Change music to Tifa)
Kurb: Go to sleep men. Tomorrow we head out to the docks there you’ll receive a briefing.
Maduar: fine, good night.
Sheik: What a nice Inn I’ve never seen one so nice.
Kurb: Other new members and then our original group members will join us good night.
In North Freeport that morning:

Nharre: Hehehe. Cealdor wake up its morning we have to go to the docks so we can go on with this little adventure.
Cealdor: I’m behind you.
Nharre: WHAT! Then who’s under your blanket?
Cealdor: My pillow. Now lets go to the docks.
Nharre: ……………… Arhhhhh how could you do this to me!
Cealdor: Do what now lets go to the docks shall we?
Nharre: Fine let’s go!

At the Docks: (change music to Yuffie)

Kurb: C’mon let’s get all of you and your supplies on the ship.
Maduar: C’mon, we don’t wont to be late.
Shiek: Whoa! These crates are heavy!
Cealdor: Duh! They’re always heavy.
Nharre: Man! Wonder when we’re leaving?
Kurb: When, everybody’s here.
As soon as Maduar goes into the storeroom
Nharre: Who are the rest?
Kurb: Other Veterans and Mercenaries.
Cealdor: I see but what are they exactly?
Kurb: They’re mainly Men and ogres. I didn’t have enough time to get reinforcements so the 3rd ogre regiment gave me some shock troops.
Maduar comes back on deck
Nharre goes to his bunk in the crew’s quarters
Maduar: Well with that casualty rate I’ll get a good fight.
Kurb: I hope not! I don’t to lose any more men!
Sheik: I agree but who can disobey your superiors when they decide your future, past and present.
Cealdor gets a crate on his toe
Cealdor: GOD! The pain Ah!
Maduar carries the crate off Cealdor’s foot
Maduar: You ok?
Cealdor: Yea it’s fine now. He says this limping
Kurb: Well that’s over. Chuckling
That night

Kurb: Ok. Now that’s everybody is here you all know who I am. Now lets go to sleep so in the morning we can go to our mission. Any questions?
Ogre warrior 01: Whats our briefing?
Kurb: We’ll be doing a sea-borne assault at a port 300 miles from Kaladim. Our mission is to destroy the Seafarers guild of Kaladim naval strength in the Ocean of Tears. Any more questions?
Human Monk 04: What about the tripe how long?
Kurb: About, 300 leagues to get there so… 3 days of travel. Any more questions?
Dark elf wiz 04: What about the food?
Kurb: Were serving normal rations of meat, cheese, oat meal, peas, ale and loathes of bread. The butter is only once a week per person, they only get 5 ounces. Ale is only 1 gallon per week, bread is only 2 loathes of bread per person per lunch and dinner. You get at max 2 bowls of oatmeal per breakfast, you get cheese every lunch every day, same goes for peas and fruit and vegetables. Any more questions?
Cabin boy (there’s only one): Will we live?
Kurb: You’re not supposed to ask questions!
Cabin boy: Yes sir mister Kurb.
Kurb: k now good night!
I started scribing through out the night. Poking along asking questions to Maduar, Cealdor, Kurb (which almost ended my night), Shiek, and many of the crew and soldiers
For information about their whole lives and stories up till now, so for now I have learned what happened to other group members when I wasn’t there and learned more about their past but now I hunger for more stories but for now I stop scribing and listen to whats happening now.
Meanwhile on deck, on port.
Maduar: Well that was a nice nap.
Sheik: NAP! He said this with total surprise
Maduar: Yes nap whats your problem?
Sheik: I was woken up by Nharre, when he was asking me questions why are you up?
Maduar: I never sleep long because I worry too much to go to sleep. And even so I’m not assigned to it but I’m on night watch.
Sheik: Hmm… may Rallos Zek smile upon you Maduar?
Maduar: I hope so.
On deck, on starboard
Cealdor: I got to know more spells but how can I?
Human wizard 05: well you could quest for most of them but for now stay with the group don’t get lost, and then you may find your way.
Nharre’s notes: After that everyone went to sleep…May the gods bless this crew and it’s leader, hail Kurb.
Chapter II:
The Tripe and touch down (change music to Ship Music)

On deck that night means nothing on the second day as we head across the Ocean of tears now I shall tell you more of what happened.

On the Deck.

Maduar: I thought we had plenty of food to eat?
Kurb: We do but most of it is for after the landing, when we win and take out the port.
Sheik: Oh I see when we head home the food is for the tripe back.
Maduar: But still I disgust the idea of us going fishing for trout when it’s only the second day, and we have to fish GOD!
Kurb: We have no choice! If we eat our food we’ll have none to come right back! And starve!
Maduar: I still don’t like the idea of ME! Going out there to hunt fish. And why do I have to?
Kurb: You’re the only one with fishing experience!
Maduar: ……… how did you know of me being with the fishing Guilds of Freeport?
Kurb: Because when someone signs up we do a background check on him or her. It’s easier if you’re an inhabitant of Freeport or Neriak because we have their files here but if your from Grobb or Oggok, etc. Because then we would have to go there to get the files.
Maduar is quickly embarrassment.
Maduar: Hmm I will do it. But only so that I don’t starve.
Sheik: C’mon Maduar we can’t wait all day to degrade you. No wait… we CAN!
Maduar: just wait till I get my hands on you little runt.
Sheik: Hmm.
Kurb: C’mon now no fighting. Save it for the enemy.
Meanwhile on Port

Nharre: Man that was a good night sleep.
Cealdor: You are late for your choirs.
Nharre: I can’t help it.
Cealdor: Why can’t you?
Nharre: I stayed up all night asking people questions for my scrolls.
Cealdor: Hmm
Sheik comes to port.

Sheik: Whoa you got guts to get up late. IN FACT, you got guts to even get up at all! Sheik said this sarcastically
Nharre: Why is that?
Sheik: To make up for your lateness. We all had to do your work!
Nharre: Oh, I see... sorry.
Sheik: Well at lest we’re done all of your and our work for now.
Nharre: Sorry about that.
Maduar is hoisting the net of fish, but then. Out of the blue, water. One of Prexus’ Creations the Kedge jumps and causes Maduar to let go of the rope and fall on Sheik. (Change music to Panic)
Sheik: MADUAR YOU IDEOT!!!!!! THIS THING FELL ON ME! HELP ME! AH! THE AGONY AH!
Maduar: Quick come help pull this net off of Sheik!
Kurb: You heard him men! Come and help Shiek!
Maduar, Kurb and the rest of the Mercenaries were busy hoisting the net off of Sheik when I was writing this event down, but then Prexus’ minions the Kedge
Rammed it to the ship and caused it to shake. By then Sheik fell off the ship and then started to float (lucky he didn’t fall where the Kedge were.).
Kurb: Hurry men before the Kedge eat him!
Maduar: HURRY!
Sheik: HELP! HELP! DON’T LET ME DROWN OR GET EATEN HELP!
Maduar: HURRY!
It didn’t take long to get him back on deck. But he was wet, shaken, but alive.
But that night everybody went to the mess to eat and drink their dinner when suddenly….
A massive storm came, which seemed like Prexus’s wrath was among us. (stop panic music)
Maduar: So? Good thing we saved you.
Sheik: Burr… you idiot.
Maduar: What did I do?
Sheik: You weren’t letting me… ah I don’t know why just I need someone to blame.
Maduar: Oh, I see… Maduar was about to punch Sheik when Kurb came along
Kurb: Settle down now… we need to relax and enjoy the food, lets have a good supper.
Nharre: Hmm… this food is good… *chomp *chomp (I lied)
Maduar: Yeah, you got that right. (He lied also)
Sheik: I guess so… (He didn’t taste the special yet)
That night the storm came, but because the storm was so loud that everyone had to yell. That night… a sailor’s life was lost…
It begins to rain… (Change music to panic)
Kurb: HURRY UP AND GET THAT SAIL UP NOW!
Maduar: WE’RE TRYING ARE HARDEST!
Kurb: WHAT!
Maduar: I SAID! WE’RE TYRING OUR HARDEST!
Kurb: OH! I SEE!
Waves ram into the ship.
BANG!
A sailor falls overboard.
Maduar: MAN OVER BOARD!
Kurb: GOD NO!
Sheik: ANOTHER MAN OVER BOARD!
Kurb: NOT ANOTHER ONE!
Maduar: No……
Kurb: HURRY UP AND SAVE THEM!
Maduar: WE ARE!
Kurb: GOD NO! IT’S TOO LATE! HES A GONER!
Maduar: NOOOOOO!
Sheik: WHAT ABOUT THE SECOND ONE!
Kurb: WE MUST NOT LET HIM DIE!
Maduar: YES CAPTAIN!
That night… it took four hours to save the sailor… he was half dead…
They put him to bed… he fell in a coma, by the time they were a mile from the destination… he woke up…(Turn off panic)(Turn on Funeral music)
Nharre: That was a bad night.
Maduar: Yah… I know.
Cealdor: Kurb was hit hard… he never lost a man at sea before.
Sheik: Hmm…
Maduar: …Lets go have breakfast before the funeral…
Nharre: … I want to pay my respects.
Sheik: C’mon.
At the Funeral, on port
Human Monk 06: We are gathered here today to grief at our loss. His name was Tiryru Yusaka; his legacy to us was great now. Let’s say what we want to say and let this poor man rest in peace.
Kurb: I want …I want to say some thing…
Maduar: Me too…
Nharre: I am going to write this down…
Kurb said his words, which left the ship in silence, and then when he got down, Maduar went up, his word also left the ship in silence. So there by he was given a funeral. He was buried at sea. The sound of the trumpet lasted 5 minutes.
The next day they saw land for the first time since leaving Freeport, they were making their touch down. (Turn on Celebration Music)
Sailor 13: LAND HOE!
Cabin boy: LAND! CAPTAIN! LAND! WE SPOTTED LAND!
Kurb: LAND!
With that, the whole crew leaped out in excitement and dance around the ship, until Kurb and Maduar crushed the whole exitment and everybody got ready for the landing.
Kurb: EVERYONE! NOW SAND STILL!
Kurb: You see everyone here shall be a victor, dead or alive. You shall be victorious! May the gods of your homeland smile upon you all.
Maduar: HAIL KURB, OUR CAPTAIN!
The Crew: HAIL KURB, OUR CAPTAIN!
The Soldiers: HAIL KURB, OUR CAPTAIN!

Chapter III the Landing… and the beginning… of the… end… (Turn on Battle)
It’s been six days since leaving Freeport. Now that we made it to Kaladim’s Shipyard’s 400 miles from Kaladim itself we can attack and win us a victory… They wont know what hit them…
Nharre: …
Maduar: I see…
Cealdor: Whats wrong?
Sheik: All of us are worried about the whole mission.
Cealdor: How?
Sheik: We don’t know if were going to survive or not.
Cealdor: Why?
Sheik: It’s because… we’ve never fought an actual enemy before, only orcs.
Maduar: I was renown for my orc massacres… but fighting Dwarves?
Sheik: Yes I know.
Nharre: ……
Sheik: STOP BEING SO DAMN QUIET!
Nharre: Yes I know. Sorry if it’s getting on your nerves.
Cealdor: I see, we’re all worried about the attack.
Kurb: Relax. We shall survive, I’ve never lost a battle here before and I wont lose one now.
One hour after that. The landing commenced. It took 11 hours of bloody fighting before we won the battle. Then after that, we fought all the way to the shipyard, were we placed our explosives, then after 10 seconds it blew up…
The sound of arms and spells comes.
Kurb: MADUAR! I’m putting you in charged of the 3rd squad, please me well!
Maduar: Yes sir! But why not 3rd and 5th , I should be able to push all the way to the port with them!
Kurb: It’s an order!
Maduar: I don’t care! It’s a lot faster this way!
Kurb: I’m worried you might be sloppy and lose a lot of good men!
Maduar: I wont lose to many!
Kurb: I don’t care! I need the 5th because of the fact that I need it for flank cover!
Kurb: I’ll give you the 4th, 3rd, and 2nd. Now don’t bug me again!
Maduar: Yes sir!
On the flank
Sheik: C’mon men! Lets beat them off our flank!
Cealdor: We’re trying! It’s just that we don’t have enough men!
Sheik: That’s because the 5th squad hasn’t arrived yet!
Cealdor: I don’t care! We have to push them back or we’re dead!
Sheik: We’ll try our best till it comes! It hasn’t fully unloaded itself from the ship!
In camp near the shore
Nharre: …Hard fighting ahead…
Officer: Your right.
Nharre: I don’t remember you from the ship, and most of these soldiers weren’t even on the ship...
Officer: Oh! Well, it’s because your ship brought some men, other ships brought reinforcements.
Nharre: And Kurb is?
Officer: 3rd right hand General of the military staff. Also he is the General of these men.
Nharre: I never knew that?
Officer: Well now you do.
In the front line
Kurb: I see all you guys fought your way here.
Maduar: It was tough but we had to do it.
Sheik: I’m fighting for patriotism I see no other reason.
Cealdor: I need to rest out of strength.
Kurb: Watch out I think the Dwarves may try to counter attack.
Maduar: Oh damn.
As soon as Kurb said that a Dwarfish company lead by the famous Dwarf general Sir Darin, attacked us. A heavy battle ensued. (Change music to Boss Piano or Boss)
Three Dwarves attacked from the left, Maduar, And Cealdor charged and instantly killed them. Six approached from the right, Sheik, Kurb and Me fought a vicious sword fight that lasted a few seconds but the dwarves were killed. Twelve charged in the front this time, but we all were together this time, and fought them off with everything we had… and succeeded. Now the Dwarven commander showed up with five bodyguards, my friends and me charged and Darin and his men charged at the same time. (Change music to Boss or opposite of what you set before) Maduar struck first missed, Darin countered, but he was blocked. Two of his bodyguards were instantly killed by Cealdor’s lighting, and Nharre’s pet Skeleton struck a swift blow against a third bodyguard, blocked, the pet tried again, killed them dwarf. The remaining two charged at the same time but sheik fended off both their blows and kill the first of the two the second one tried to avenge his comrade but was kill by an arrow. Darin dwelt another swift blow at Maduar (remember all this was happening at the same time) Maduar succeeded in blocking and countering the move but was thwarted by Darin’s ring mail. Maduar enraged at the fact he was being played charged with every bit of remaining strength he had. Darin taken completely by surprise was only able to would Maduar’s left shoulder before being struck down by Maduar’s blade and stumbled then fell. (Change music to Funeral music)
When the battle was over, we all packed up our bags and went to the camp. The Dominion is preparing a peace proposal for Kaladim. But sadly… most of the troops wont be able to come home to there families because they need to stay and fight.
Kurb: MEN! We have won my 30th victory. I got a message from the Dominion that their deciding a peace treaty for Kaladim, which will allow 80% of the garrisoned troops to go home, and Kaladim wont be able to start trouble again because the treaty says that:
Kaladim is to have no more then 10,000 troops in an area of 100 miles of coastal land.
Kaladim can’t have more then 10 war ships and 15 transports, also no, more then 25 fishing ships of a specific size
Kaladim can not declare war on any power but the Orcs, without permission, there total army can’t be more the 20,000 men strong.
Kaladim most pay tribute for 50 years, of silver.1000 talents per year.
The Treaty will end in 50 years.

Maduar: I may not be a politician BUT! I was a Centurion in Qeynos. I know that no country would accept such a treaty!
Cealdor: He’s right! How could a country accept that treaty?
Nharre: I agree. How could they?
Kurb: You may not know it but Freeport was in competition for the ocean of tears of 100 years, but the war came 25 years ago 15 years before the Dominion came to power.
Nharre: What does that mean?
Kurb: It means that we been pounding them by amphibious landings for 5 years now! There economy is surly collapsing on itself.
Nharre: I see but I still don’t agree on the Terms of the Treaty.
After that… the Dwarves accepted the treaty after hard discussion. We packed up and headed home, we weren’t needed any more… I would tell you about the tripe back but it just waist space. So I’ll tell you that the tripe back uneventful other than Maduar’s snoring and a couple of storms.
We arrived back in Freeport… on a Sunday… it was a site to remember. Everyone in Freeport and in the common lands came to welcome us home from our victory. It seems to us that the news spread was the work of the Dominions propaganda service… we were socked that THEY! Told the populace nothing but the best part of the Campaign and filled up the gap with lies! We know what for our next war and mission only to be welcomed as heroes when most of it was a lie… (I seemed of noticed a dark figure in the crowd, can’t be important… could it?)
In Freeport Market place (Change music to Port Music)
Cealdor: Come Nharre! Lets spend our pay at the market! We’ll have fun.
As Cealdor smiles
Nharre: Yes coming…
Cealdor: Whats wrong?
Nharre: Nothing! Just… Tired, from the whole adventure.
Cealdor: That’s nothing! Just wait till our next mission!
Nharre: hmm… Rats.
Cealdor: Now there let’s have some fun while were here OK!
Nharre: Yeah! Your right… I better not bring you down.
Cealdor: YEAH! COME LETS GO!
Nharre: Yay…
In the Market places Bar
Maduar: hick! *burp*! Oh I am… so… so… so… DRUNK! Hick!
Bar hostess: you should settle down now don’t want to get even drunker now do we?
Maduar: With you? Any thing. *Burp*!
Bar hostess: Why you little RUNT! LADY SHAE! Show this man the door!
Maduar: You wouldn’t want to hurt a veteran now do you? Hick!
Lady Shae: Of course I do!
First, Maduar gets pulped and then gets a beer glass on his head then he gets thrown out of the door onto Sheik’s feet.

Sheik: Are you ok?
Maduar: *Hick* oh the pain of a hangover oh god…
Sheik: Hmm… guess your ok.
Maduar: Sheik! You’re a Paladin… Heal me with lay hands.
Sheik: Sure why not.
Sheik does lay hands on Maduar… Maduar gets healed to full…
Maduar: Thank you…
Sheik: Don’t mention it…
Maduar: Lets go to the tavern under the bar and play pool there’s a way under.
Sheik: K… Just don’t drink anything alcoholic.
Maduar: Okay I wont.
In the Tavern
Maduar and Sheik are playing pool
Maduar: Nice day for pool.
Sheik: Yup, it’s always good for pool.
Maduar: Wonder when our next mission is?
Sheik: Lets not worry about eh?
Maduar: Why not?
Sheik: Because, we need to relax. While we have time.
Maduar: Your right… but the next mission may be important?
Sheik: … yeah your right wonder what our next mission is?

In the market
Nharre and Cealdor are buying spells and potions and brewer kits
Nharre: these new spells should help us on our next journey.
Cealdor: hmm…!
Nharre: … what?
Cealdor: Th…Tha… That… Spell!
Nharre: What spell?
Cealdor: METEO! And METEOR! And NUKE!
Nharre: WHAT!
Cealdor: HOW MUCH FOR THOSE SPELLS!
Merchant: 100pp for meteor, 250pp for meteo, and finally 450pp for nuke. You wont be able to afford it.
Cealdor: What, makes you say that?
Merchant: BECAUSE! I know what a soldiers salary is you would have to go on one hundred missions to get that kind of money.
Cealdor cries
Merchant: Don’t worry… let me make it easier for you… someone already bought it when you all came! Hehehe.
Nharre: You idiot! Can’t you see the trouble he went through?
Merchant: I’m sorry… was I supposes to care!
Nharre: Cealdor… lets go to the hotel we bought enough spells today…
Cealdor: Fine………
The next day
In the Dominion HQ (Change music to Dominion leaders)

The Assembly starts with load and utter chaos!
Senator Genoa: What about the People!
Senator Cracis: What about Oggok!
Assembly members: 40, 46, 4, 6: We need food! You fat cats are always eating it!
Assembly members: 30, 37, 267, 1000: we need it for the army!
Senator Marcus: SILENCE! … People and representatives of the people of Freeport and its dominions. We need the food, clothing and your taxes to pay our soldiers as they win us victory… don’t you want that?
Assembly: Yes! Yes! Yes!
Senator Marcus: Good… Now… the reason why we are still borrowing your money is because… we need it to pay the garrisons of the forts in North Ro and Faydwer. And your food goes to feeding them… and besides… we still got Oggok and Grobb left. Grobb for its Navy and army, and Oggok for its large army and May I quote VERY! Rich lands, and Mines. DO I MAKE MY SELF-CLEAR!
Assembly: YES!
In the main office
Senator Marcus: I’ve done it again!
Senator/ General Septum: Hmm… you can manage the common mob but you can’t even manage your best General!
Admiral Aquarius: Yeah that’s right, where is “The Great One”.
General Taurus: Hmm… The Great One must be off looking around Freeport…
General Septum: He has to be searching for qualified Citizens to join the Elite Special Forces… The Dominion Elite! Or .E. .S. .F!
Counsel Drako: Marcus! I’m worried you may one day become a Counsel like me and the Dominions Trusted Leader.
Senator Marcus: HA! Why so worried? If one of you is to be replaced it would be you! Our Leader maneuvered so that only you would be replaced.
Counsel Drako: Hmm… The election is coming up…
Senator Marcus: Well I’m on ballet so I am sure to win!
General Septum: SILENCE! We need to worry about our run away general! And our next war we should be planning!
Counsel Drako: I think we should declare war upon Grobb and make it look like Grobb declared war on us… that way the people will fight for us like zealots, and we can take on two problems at once A) their Navy B) their Army and Dominate the western coast of Antonica with full force.
Senator Marcus: I disagree. What would happen if the people find out about that we the ones who declared war… not them! And what about if we should have problems fighting… after all we just did end one war… we should recover from the money and the lives lost.
Counsel Drako: We should take a vote… but first let me say something… sure it might use up resources, BUT! We could scare off other invaders and keep our allies in check… not only that but we may be able to win popularity for the elections for our nimieties from our government guilds.

The vote was done… Drako… won the election and war was declared… the propaganda service made it look like that Grobb declared war on us, so soon we all jumped to our feet and got ready…
Counsel Drako: Well, well looks like I win the vote shall we win this war or what?
Seph: We shall…
Counsel Drako: What!
Admiral Aquarius: The… The… The Great Seph is here!
Senator Marcus: We are at war with Grobb win us a Victory Oh Seph!

Chapter IV Journey Begins… (Change music to Preparation)

This metaphor says that the journey shall begin here, and I will show you how. But when The Dominion declared war on Grobb we all packed our bags prepared to fight an enemy once again… may our gods help us…
Meanwhile on one of the many ships in the grand fleet assembled by Admiral Aquarius was our heroes and I; this is where we all talk about whats happening next in our adventure.
Maduar: so? … Who are we fighting now?
Sheik: Seeing how we turned south… the only city capable of any competition in open sea is Grobb…
Maduar: I studied history going back to the founding of the Dominion under Altair. The dominion in order of insuring that they can control the northern part of the ocean of tears suggest that they made a treaty… guessing that they did it so they have time to strengthen before they declare war.
Kurb: Your right… we are on a mission to destroy Grobbs navel power in the ocean of tears so we can prepare for the supply rout stretching from supply depots in North Ro to the Grand 1st army under the command of General Septum one of the four Generals and heroes of the Dominion.
Maduar: It looks like the Dominion made a messy job in making it look like we are the innocent ones right?
Sheik: Got that right.
Ogre warrior 07: How many soldiers are in the whole mission?
Kurb: It’s not a mission… it’s a campaign against Grobb.
Human wizard 08: Well how many?
Kurb: In this fleet alone… the whole sea-borne 3rd army.
Every soldier on board: WHAT!
Maduar: That’s almost 12, 000 men!
Kurb: I know. But the Dominion wants a quick short war.
Maduar: That’s a little harsh in terms of manpower.
Kurb: Yes but it’s the only way of insuring a fast short war.
Maduar: But? Wont the Generals are a little waist full with the huge amount of troops?
Kurb: Yes I know… but General Seph of E. S. F. will be leading assaults through the dessert of Ro and attack Grobb on the front.
Nharre: Wont it be hard leading all those troops through the dessert?
Kurb: Seph was ordered to destroy and drain anything in his path all the way to Grobb. This mission is so that the army can supply itself on the way.
Cealdor: But? What happens when he gets there?
Sheik: I will answer that… he. Like us he will capture a port to supply him self from the supply depots in North Ro.
Kurb: Correct now we shall train all the way there got it!
The Crew: Hail Kurb!
The crew song there home lands anthems each day and night… talking and training. Each ship had double the amount of crew so the soldiers had most of the day to train and practice their spells, fight, and their trades. This went for the whole fleet.
When the fleet reached there Kurb and Maduar argued what Battalion he should command. But they worked out that Maduar gets the 4th and 5th sea-born Battalion. Now I shall scribe once more and see what happens.
Meanwhile at the beaches (Change music to Marching)
Maduar: This fighting is rough… I can’t believe that trolls were so strongly determined to defend their city?
Kurb: Well that’s the way of any power.
Maduar: We didn’t fight so many troops and my life… not even orcs! And they are in mostly hordes prone to conquest.
Kurb: That’s because a power has the most troops defending his city not his conquered territory.
Maduar: I see… but THIS IS A MASSACRE!
Kurb: What you mean?
Maduar: look at were the fighting is!
As soon as Kurb looked he saw that there were arrows being shot at his men, thereby… heavy casualty rate.
Kurb: I can’t take this!
General Septum: Kurb! Order you men to march forward to gain victory at ALL! Cost.
Kurb looks down with disrespect for the General
Septum: LOOK AT ME YOU MISERBLE DARK ELF!
Kurb: ……………no…
Septum: ……wha … wha. … WHAT!
Kurb: I SAID NO! MEN FALL BACK AND FLANK THEM! SO WE CAN DESTROY THEM FROM THE SIDE ALLOWING THE 6TH AND 7TH BATTALION TO ENCIRCLE THEM!
Septum: Kurb… you shall pay for this either way.
Kurb: How’s that?
Septum: If we win from this… I shall punish you for disobedience. But! If you win the Dominion and I shall punish you for disobedience and the fact you cased troops to die… FOR NOTHING! (Change music to Battle)
Immediately Me, Kurb Maduar, and Sheik with a couple companies of Men and Dark Elves quickly dashed off and charged a company of Trolls. We took them by surprise and were wiped out. Troll Spearmen charged from their protective ridge and took us by surprise but they under estimated our skill. Maduar immediately sliced off six heads. Sheik manning a bow and arrow picked off some seven trolls; I myself rose about some fourteen skeletons and killed about eleven trolls. Kurb impressively killed twelve trolls within a few minutes, but this was not a one sided war. The trolls killed about twenty Men and thirteen dark elves. The enemy company backed off and then a famous troll warrior named Uguk, came down on us with 70 Trolls this I thought would’ve over powered us but I remembered that one of my friends alone is worth twenty trolls, Maduar sliced his way through the lines of trolls and tried to strike Uguk but failed. Maduar would’ve died that day but Sheik, and me made our way through as well and killed Uguk.
After that Kurb went to the other side of the front to aide other companies and fought bravely. The battle ended when we finally moved out from beaches. Soon a message came from Seph saying that he out flanked and out maneuvered around Grobbs proud army and encircled it, there by… destroying it… and soon a message came for the execution of Kurb Tolax from The Counsel… Drako…who won the election… The ruthless Counsel assassinated Marcus, who would’ve been the best Governor in Free ports history… Lord Drako of the Dominion… is executing everyone who isn’t loyal to the Dominion… Shall Kurb survive this ordeal, I hope so… and I shall tell you how it happened. (Turn on Escape)

Guard 01: We are here to arrest Kurb Tolax of Neriak.
Soldier 556: NEVER! WE WONT LET YOU HAVE HIM!
Soldiers: He fought along side of us and saved many of us in dark times. We will not let you pomp’s from the Dominion have him!
Guards: Well, Well? Guess we get to fight something after all…
Soldiers: Charge!
Guards: AHHH!
A fight is happening with the soldiers and the Freeport Guards.
Kurb: This is a fight I can join… (As he said in the distance wearing his cloak)
Sailor: COME KURB! WE CAN’T WAIT TO LONG THEY WILL CATCH US!
Kurb: Yes comrade.
Maduar: Where are we going now?
Kurb: We shall go to Velious… were no one will ever go to find us… NOT EVEN Seph!
Nharre: Not even Seph…
…………we were wrong… because… Seph was given an order to seek us… but Seph had plans of his own… to find his answers in Velious…

Meanwhile on the Ship (Change music to Ship music)
Sheik: Were shall we go first?
Kurb: We shall go to Kunark. There we shall recruit some help and see the sights, cuz for now we shall visit the world.
Sheik: All right!
Maduar: What about preparation because isn’t Kunark a massive jungle and Velious an icebox?
Cealdor: Don’t worry, we shall travel the safest and fastest rout to New Cabilis and then to Fironia Vie to get a ship to get us to Velious were we will settle in Thungdin (city of ice adapted Dwarves) in till the whole thing blows over and then go back to our homes in Freeport, the Common lands and Neriak. So? Lets enjoy the whole tripe.
Nharre: This will be great for my books as I write down this whole adventure for our libraries.
Maduar: And more fishing yeah… yeah oh… I hate this…
Sheik: I always wanted to go to Kunark for there weapons and cool Armour.
Maduar: I want to go there for the challenge and get some new blade while I’m at it..
Cealdor: Maybe I will be able to get the best spells there…
Kurb: Lets hope that we can make it to Kunark without trouble.
Maduar: May the gods bless us!
The crew and sailors: Amen!

Chapter V We made it to Kunark (Change music to Celebration)

It’s been 12 weeks since we left our camps on the Grobben coast so now we are preparing to land and head for Cabilis so we can get some new companions for our journey across Kunark, so far now… I shall continue to scribe so that I can record this adventure in a mysterious continent, so for now… good luck!
Kurb: So? We finally found land.
Maduar: Must be Kunark.
Sheik: It is Kunark… I remember what the massive tower in greater field of bone… it’s huge… and look at that tower it’s huge!
Nharre: Good… now I can see for myself of what this massive continent looks like, and not some exaggerated claims from explorers.
Cealdor: I heard that Kunark is world renown for its casters and warriors.
Maduar: You’re right, because that it has many great warriors; it has been an enemy for all other races for centuries, en till recently.
Sheik: Why is that?
Kurb: Because diplomats from Kunark have come to our cities so they can build trade routs, man! It is useful.
Maduar: How is that exactly?
Kurb: Because thanks to the Iksars we have a new set of resources for cites including woods and new types of armor.
Maduar: And safer trade routs as well as an open market.
Sailor: CAPTAIN! We are prepared to land in the field of bone.
Kurb: Good, prepare to land.
Sailor: YES SIR!
Soon after… we managed to land in the field of bone with all our friends and crewmen, now we shall travel all the way to new Cabilis, so we may find some new friends and partners as we head for Velious.
We are currently walking in the field of bone as we talk (Change music to Night)
Kurb: AH! Here we are in Kunark.
Maduar: We got 300 more miles of plains, plateaus, and dessert before reach the Iksar hometown.
Sheik: Yes I know I’ve been here before.
Maduar: Really… when?
Sheik: About 3 years ago…
Maduar: Do you know the fastest rout?
Sheik: I know a way to there and not get lost.
Kurb: Which one is that?
Sheik: Follow the Alpha Dracaenas star in the tail on Draco… follow it and you will reach Cabilis.
Kurb: I see but we will stick to our straight path going south to New Cabilis.
Sheik: Fair enough… my rout is a slow and dangerous way anyway.
Nharre: Acceptable
Cealdor: How many more miles now?
Kurb: For the 1 millionth time 287 more miles to go!
Sheik: we should make camp now? It’s getting dark.
Kurb: I see? Well let’s make camp.
Maduar: hmm…
That night… Sheik and I couldn’t stop looking at the stars were we pondered… our adventure, we took 3 leaves and set them up like so: then we set the middle one on fire… if all three burn then it’s good luck, BUT! If one stays and doesn’t burn it’s bad luck. While if two are left, it means misfortune and good fortune will mix… if none burn there’s no effect to the quest so try again.

Leaf 2 Leaf 3

Moss

Leaf 1

Two leaves were left… we didn’t mention it to our friends, fearing panic will come and the journey will end so we left our selves the thought but otherwise, we made it to Cabilis in 3 days time.
In East Cabilis (Change music to New Cabilis)
Kurb: This… gate?
Maduar: It was built 500 years ago by the Iksar King Old Sathir II he built this gate and its walls so he could protect his new city while Old Cabilis was destroyed.
Kurb: Now the grand Iksar Empire is no more… just a portion of what it was.
Maduar: It’s just the shell of its former self. Its allies are in open revolt along with its slaves.
Kurb: Now good King Caesareon rules it. The grandest king of all!
Maduar: He built the massive sewers we have now. He even rebuilt the massive harbor of New Cabilis, which was destroyed by hill giants and dragons when they attack the Iksars.
Kurb: And now… it stands taller then ever before… except for the fact that its territory has been reduced.
Maduar: Its grasp grips southern field of bone, northern swamp of no hope, and with its navel superiority it controls the Lake of ill omen, when it had control eastern Kunark.
Kurb: Its armies at its height equaled 567,000 Iksars and slaves.
Sheik: The Iksar Empire was this impressive?
Maduar: Yep. And it was always having turmoil in the Royal family.
Nharre: Wasn’t New Cabilis the learning center of the world?
Kurb: Yes it was. Its libraries have a total of 155,000 books and that number is a year old.
Nharre: Then its numbers must’ve?
Maduar: The most recent number was 317, 437 books and that was last month!
Followers: C’mon we have to get some guides and a boat to Velious, now shall we?
Cealdor: Yes now we need to keep going soon.
Kurb: I know c’mon lets go in now.
In the Iksar barracks near the center of the town (Change music to Marching)

Nharre: Hmm…
Kurb: Sir, drill master Reavor! We ask for a new recruit of yours, who knows the rout to Fironia Vie, hopefully has fighting experience. We shall pay 50pp for him or her.
Reavor: Ha! You think I will just give you a student for you usage!
Kurb: 100pp!
Reavor: …hmmm not enough!
Maduar: 300pp! and that’s our final offer!
Reavor: DEAL!
Kurb: We don’t have that kind of money?
Maduar: You don’t but I do!
Kurb: From you fishing guilds I see?
Maduar: Yep.
Reavor: Master Fae! Come Here!
Fae: Yes what is so important that I have to pry myself from my training?
Reavor: I’m handing you to these nice people… please them well and maybe you get your shot at Trakanon! Hehehe. As for the rest of you Fae here is a warrior monk and has surpassed even his greatest rivals.
Fae: Hmm… I shall join you but beware I am the heir to the imperial throne to the great Iksar empire, so be prudent when in my presence.
Kurb: Come now little one we must hurry to our hotels. The others must’ve finished their shopping by now.
Fae: Little one?
Kurb: Call me Kurb, Captain or friend. And I’m calling you little one because you’re still technically a teenager among your people.
Fae: Ignorant dark elf.
Kurb: What did I just hear?
Fae: Oh nothing.
Kurb: Whatever!
After that we all went to our hotel rooms were we planed our next move to Velious… but it turns out that our new friend has plans of his own…

Chapter VI the way to Trakanon and Velious

We made it out of the city on our way to old Cabilis were we shall fight Trakanon so we can gain glory of defeating the Dragon… (Change music to night)
Kurb: Why? Is it that you want to defeat Trakanon?
Fae: Because it was Trakanon who lead a number of young dragons and leveled our ancient cities to ruble and ash.
Maduar: What makes you think you can defeat Trakanon?
Fae: Because Iksars have gotten much stronger since then… the average Iksar is now 10 times stronger since then servant.
Maduar: What did you call me?
Fae: A servant or at least you will be in about a few centuries if your race can live that long.
Sheik: And how strong are you? Interrupting Maduar’s next words
Fae: I’ve trained for my whole life to defeat him…
Sheik: How long was that?
Fae: Iksars usually train at 13-14, but I started at 6 to impress my father and be like that legendary hero, who save the Iksar Empire at its darkest moment.
Maduar: Which one was that?
Fae: The Great Seph of course!
Kurb: He went as far as Kunark in the past?
Fae: Yes… You see? When hundreds of hill giants were on there way to New Cabilis, Seph noticed that the Grade walls were doubled so there was a massive court yard in between… he let the Giants in and then! When they were all in he closed both gates and attacked them from the sides in side the walls and tortured them by arrows and spears from atop of the walls… soon they were all dead.
Kurb: Whoa! That must’ve been a great achievement!
Fae: It was… now the hill giants are still trying to run from us because there numbers are to low.
Kurb: I see?
Fae: Come now we got a few more leagues left.
Maduar: …How powerful is Trakanon anyway?
Nharre: According to records… As strong as 10 Dragons combined!
Cealdor: That’s strong.
Maduar: Yeah, but the times have changed… now men and women of all races are a lot stronger so we got to give everyone the chance.
Fae: When I destroy him… I shall claim Kingship over Old Cabilis and New Cabilis in a new Double Kingdom. By tradition whoever destroys this mighty dragon will become King of the New IKSAR EMPIRE!

Chapter VII Trakanon, Seph, Fironia Vie, and Velious. (Change music to Old Cabilis)
We made it to Trakanons teeth (these were vicious mountains because of the few paths and many wild creatures of elder days) where thought as a barrier to prevent travelers and hunters like us from reaching Old Cabilis, but it prove to no avail to hamper our quest as we fought anyone who stood in our way… but of course! Fae had to take and kill each monster we found. He said I was vengeance and that he was killing for the Iksar cause! But I know better. We soon find our selves in the ruined gates of old Cabilis where two massive giants stood there posed to stop and kill us! But once again Fae! Killed and defeated them, shall we defeat Trakanon even if we think we are this strong? Lets seek the answer posthaste.
In Old Cabilis
Fae: Here we are.
Nharre: These ruins? They’re so old…
Maduar: Yes of course but Trakanon is here we should be careful.
Fae: Trakanon! Where are you! Now! Tell me!
Horntail Dragon: Why all the yelling? The dragon said with curiosity
Fae: Were here to slay your master!
Maduar: Were just helping…
Green Welsh Dragon: Am I’m I supposed to believe that! You make me laugh… Where not even going to let you come close to Trakanon because as long he is here we got ourselves a permanent home so go away or we’ll eat you all!
Fae: ………You make me laugh…
Trakanon: What’s all this about they’re can’t be any more orcs now could there?
Fae: Trakanon! I Fae Sathir Caesareon the third shall slay in the name of the Iksar Empire and all who have been slain by you!
Trakanon: I see your cause but I have… no quarrel with your fine civilization anymore, I dropped all my ideas and concentrated on raising my family. My time is soon over.
Fae: What!
G. W. Dragon: You see leave my father alone!
Horntail Dragon: Go away!
Trakanon: Now, now don’t be so hasty how about I help you I got a very large family here in this part of Kunark.
Fae: What makes you Th…
Trakanon interrupts Fae, you will trust me because I can help you and besides the rest of my family sees no reason of conflict either since your empire has been brought to its knees so what do you say?
Fae: Fine!
Seph: I see you two made friends?
Seph: Well… I vowed to defeat this dragon when I was in Freeport because he he’s supposed to be the best, but seeing how you two made friends I guess the past is past, but mark my words dragon by prudent when near me!
Maduar: I think we should continue on our quest?
Nharre: We should invite Seph? Look at him! He’s so strong he will be useful.
Cealdor: We should he could have strong spells I could use?
Nharre: I might be able to interview him and add his chapter to the story…
Sheik: I shall remain neutral but I’d like a new companion.
Fae: I don’t care what you all think; I’m very pressured at the moment!
Seph: I shall join you I would like to pay a visit to Velious. He said this with a grin
Kurb: Now come on lets go to Fironia Vie and make it to Kunark, it shouldn’t be long now.
Trakanon: Now wait a minute you can’t all come in here and demand a challenge then drop it I say little Fae here should fight a dragon in order to leave what do you think little one?
Fae: I’ll be glad to now be you fighting me?
Trakanon: Oh no! I’m too old for that but there’s a fireball dragon here that needs teaching how about it?
Fae: Gladly. Fae lifted his Bronze claws and grinned
Trakanon: So be it! Ahem, Maelstrom! Come! I have a challenge for you!
Maelstrom: So there is a challenge for me eh? Lets commence! The Dragon roared and took up striking posture
Fae: You’ll be fighting me! Now lets battle! (Change music to Maelstrom)
Fae leaped and seized Maduar’s emerald katiri (which he found and bought in New Cabilis) and charged at Maelstrom with full fury, and dug his sword into the Dragon. Maelstrom cried out but managed to pull himself away and shot a fire blast at Fae, but luck save Fae, for Maduar’s emerald katiri had an unique ability to combat dragons in whatever element they had. Fae jumped from spot to spot escaping every hit from the dragon, eventually Maelstrom spat a fire ball and hit Fae, however Fae to everyone’s shock had managed to absorb the fireball into his sword and countered attacked stabbing Maelstrom and removed his brain stone. (Change music to funeral music)
Trakanon: He was a troublesome dragon; now then I grant you all leave.
Fae: Now then lets turn to business. I ask of you to convince your brethren to cease their attacks upon New Cabilis until I return.
Trakanon: Agreed.
(Change music to Night)
We marched 137 miles through jungles, muskeg and mountains, all the way to the ferries at the southern tip of Kunark. Here we board a ferry and make way to Fironia Vie! The city of gold, silver, and goods!
Seph: This way to my privet ferry!
Sheik: You have a privet ferry?
Maduar: How did you get it?
Seph: I bought it after I got my pay.
Maduar: For what.
Seph: I was a general for the Iksar armies for a short while…
Maduar: Why a ferry?
Seph: I got one so I could have direct access to Fironia Vie and beyond.
Kurb: I see?
Sheik: Whats the ferry called?
Seph: The Lost Soul…
Maduar: When they say you’re scary, they mean it!
Kurb: Seph… I day you shall find what you looking for…
Seph: I shall… thanks!
Kurb: Now! Shall we go on?
Maduar: We must go to the ferry now so we can make it to Fironia Vie!
On the ferry “The Lost Soul”(Change music to Ship music)
Seph: Men! Lets head for Fironia Vie!
Sailors: Yes captain!
Nharre: Sephi… Roth, shall thou tell me his past?
Seph: He shall…
Nharre: So? What has come of your past?
Seph: Well? :
When I was a mere boy I was quite normal… I played with the other students, but I didn’t quite notice of that my eyes turned three colors… Green, Turquoise, and Aqua Marine.
Nharre: Whoa! You can do that?
Seph: Yes I can but? I didn’t quite notice till the over children asked me that question… why do your eyes turn colors at given moments… sigh it was hard for me, BUT! It was still a good time for me I still played with the over children still, they thought my eyes in their standards strange, but cool. Soon that ended when I was 10, their parents finally noticed when they came to pick us up from the daycare. They found that my eyes turned those colors, they wanted me out of the daycare of they would either destroy the place or withdrawal their kids from the Day care, but I decided not to cause trouble. I left and joined the Academy in East Freeport. I for one… was a giant prodigy in my training. I was faster then any other cadet, I was more serious but I isolated myself from the rest of the Academy by training harder, example: I trained for most of the night and not talked to any other cadet, I also took up extra training during my brake. BUT! I was forced to take up a skill, I chose, Blacksmithing, archery, fletching, brewing, casting, and I took up extra time doing errands for my drillmasters.
Nharre: Good! Now keep going.
Seph: I studied sword making, most of my time as I studied the ancient katiri swords, like the Bladestorm katiri. I focused on mainly on casting and Blacksmithing. I soon managed to make my first Sword… it was an Emerald katiri. I soon made a new type of mold about four and a half feet long trying to remake the legendary Masamune, but to no avail… I soon found out that the Market place had a rusted out broken Masamune, but its worth was still high, about 10,000 platinum pieces… I asked our Drillmasters for the money… they allowed it thinking it could be a School treasure. Hoping to compete with other schools, I bought it from the market place for half price and kept the money for the supplies to restore it… I worked for two months of little food, water, training, and sleep just hoping I could try to restore it. This is what I did: I took all of my katiris (I made a couple by now) and melted them all in one liquid metal… then I pour it in the mold with the old Masamune sword were it hardened, but I was a long way from restoring it! I put it in the fire and kept it heated to 1600 degrees, and then I kept on folding and hammering it until it was 2000 folds. This was the crucial moment. Here three metals are in a katiri, which allows its bending curved blade as it cools but if it hadn’t been heated to the right temperature it would morth and become at a strange state, were it would’ve wasted not only 5000pp but 2 months as well, but it seemed to have succeeded. It cooled successfully and all it needed was some hammering and some polish so it could be long, thin, and light. But when I was done it was thin and long (about 4.5 feet) it was so heavy that for some reason only I could lift it… when it was done I got the most powerful enchanters in Freeport (I did something to help as well) to enchant it so it would be more powerful and be magic. I put it on display and used it during training… it soon became my trademark weapon. I also made and used some more katiris but soon I was 16, I went to other cities to reteach the lost act of katiri Blacksmithing and join the army there as well. But on my way to Qeynos I traveled across some young travelers, who were questing for the legendary blade of steel. The Bladestorm katiri.
Nharre: Incredible! What happened!
Seph: That is something you can read in a book known as “Quest for the Bladestorm katiri” Otherwise I can tell you no more. Now lets continue.
That started my career as a General as I won victory after victory for many cities… at my old academy they hang my picture in the achievement case with many trophies as well as an replica of my Masamune sword made by a new blacksmith there who help to arm the whole academy (I left before I could do this), I continued my journey as a General until I was twenty three years old, that’s when I went back to my commonlands home to see my mother who I didn’t see for so long. She told me what and who my father was… she told me to find my destiny, but I on the other hand was dazed… I went on for my own personal journey into the frigid plains were I journeyed for two years until I went back to Freeport were I decided to join in on the war they were having and became one of their four Generals who ran and controlled Freeport. I went on with the war and decided I overstayed my visit when victory came, that’s when an order came to go after you all and arrest you. But I decided that this is a perfect opportunity to get away from the Dominion and go with you all and quest in Velious the mystic continent.
Nharre: Well guess I wrought down all I needed thanks oh mighty Seph.
Seph: May the gods bless you!
In the kitchen
Maduar: Consequently I think we should look back at our adventure shall we?
Kurb: Nharre is currently meeting Seph for his life story…
Maduar: Hmm… well now we must look back at our adventure and see what we accomplished?
Kurb: Well? We first started at Freeport and then went on with our mission…
Maduar: After coming back we went to Freeport’s center market and bought things we wanted…
Kurb: then we went on with our mission against Grobb… man that was an awful predicament…
Maduar: The Dominion wanted you executed for disobedience… we escaped to our ship and sailed to Kunark, were we found some refuge in Cabilis.
Kurb: we also managed to gain a new friend. But then we went on with our journey.
Maduar: But, Fae wanted us to slay Trakanon, to set out his fathers last will.
Kurb: then we went to Old Cabilis were we met Seph and Trakanon, were we tried to kill Trakanon. But Seph took our kill.
Fae: But then he joined us and then we went on with our journey to Fironia Vie.
Maduar: Right.
Kurb: And here we are…
In storeroom
Cealdor: Hmm… know if Velious has any good spells?
Stowaway: Yeess… I KNOW whats there…
Cealdor: Your speaking a little weird…
Sheik: hmm…
Cealdor: Do you know Seph?
Stowaway: yes… I know him… I fought him once… I lost…
Sheik: You fought him?
Stowaway: Yes… I lost big time… I thought I could beat him thinking I trained so hard I had to beat him… but his skills strength was un believe able…
Sheik: How strong?
Stowaway: As strong as a hundred men… when I lost… I was forced to do humiliating jobs, because I made a bet I couldn’t pay up… I am now a wreak beyond repair… now… I shall decay in this storeroom… When he gets his close in counter with the enemy he told us not to fear…
The Stowaway disappeared when he walk out of the room.
Seph: Everyone! Prepare for landing we are now entering Fironia Vie!
Kurb: Good!
In Fironia Vie (Change music to East Freeport music)
Seph: Here’s your money for rent of this dock.
Banker: Yes thank you.
Seph: Hmm…
Maduar: C’mon Sheik! Lets view the armor Fironia has!
Sheik: On my way!
Cealdor: NHARRE! COME LETS CHECK OUT THE SPELLS!
Nharre: On my way!
In the Market
Fae: Kurb… Like these claws?
Kurb: hmm… good… but that Dark Reaver is quite good… I shall buy it…
Fae: Good luck friend… *Snicker*, *Snicker* (He’ll never afford it)
Kurb: Here you go thank you.
Fae is open mouthed
Maduar, Sheik, Cealdor, and Me come by.
Maduar: We’ll I’m all set and ready to take on the world what about the rest of you all?
Sheik: I’ll need some time.
Fae: I got myself a new sword as my emergency weapon.
Change music to Boss
Three mysterious warriors run in, and draw their swords. All of us had no idea what was afoot but as the Guards came and attack these fighters, the Guards were killed instantly.
The first on stepped forward obviously a female.
Devours: We’re told by the Dominion to kill you all, and especially Kurb gave us orders. So surrender yourselves and I’ll promise a clean execution!
The second-one stepped forward, a tall man with dark pale black eyes.
Dormiant: Forget that I’ll kill you all now painfully and slowly!
The third reluctantly stepped forward, a small timid person obviously a teenager.
Fyre: Why do I keep this job? I’m only a mercenary…
Devours: Shut up! And help!
Dormiant: Now lets get this over with!
Fyre: Okay…
The battle exploded as Maduar and Devours battled furiously in deadlock. Nharre’s pet Zornack, took a lot of blows from Fyre as Cealdor bombarded him with fireballs but to no avail, Fyre of course seems to be holding back… Dormiant took on Sheik, and Fae at the same time and was having fun to boot! It seemed to be getting worse as Zornack crumbled and Cealdor was forced to using a dagger. Devours was distracting Maduar with her breasts, and Fae seemed to be the only one there fighting at his best (Iksars have amazing stamina), for Sheik was second place seeing as how he shared the burden. (Change music to Heart beat)
Seph appeared at the seen finally… He walked in as if nothing had happened; he drew his sword with grace and he paralyzed Devours even when she had he guard up. Then he walked over to Dominant, and knocked out his weapon with the simple turning of his wrist. Dominant, was shock and scared out of his wits, for he was at the mercy of Seph. Fyre by this time noticed the silence and stared horrified… His best friend and his boss for all he knew may be dead. He griped his sword… He lifted it up, and charged at Seph.
Fyre: Kamikaze!
Seph was not taken off guard… But he himself was startled, for kamikaze was in fact a powerful warrior move. Seph was forced back but regained himself and killed Dormiant.
Seph: Devours shall live now that I killed your leader. Why not join our company?
Fyre: How dare you!
Seph: Look kid. I could easily kill you. But I won’t for you and Devours have bigger things to worry about.
Fyre: Why would we join anyway?
Maduar: There’s lots of gold and silver in Velious why not come with us?
Sheik: And besides, the Dominion sent you two after us for petty reasons anyway so make something of your life.
Devours got up staggering but cheerful.
Devours: Gold, jewels, and silver. Come on lets go!
Fyre: Fine but I shall be watching you all closely.
After two days at Fironia Vie… we all gathered our new spells and equipment, in order to head out to the strange and newly discovered world known as Velious… I wonder if we shall survive… even with Seph at our side.
Along the tripe
I take my notes as the tripe continues. I find that Seph has been more and more isolated over time… And I am worried of what happens when we make it to Velious, but for now I tell you a little bit of what happened along the tripe.
Fae: Velious is a very cold place. However, I will not be a use unless. You find me a very good cloak; to keep me warm got it!
Kurb: We shall try to keep you warm but for now just don’t take any risks.
Fae: Agreed. Fae said this proudly.
On deck of the “Traveler” the ocean going vessel
Nharre: Cealdor, I need you to tell me about your past?
Cealdor: Yes I shall tell you.
In the Mess
Sheik: Maduar whats your current weapons?
Maduar: I have a gift, which Seph gave me…
Sheik: Which one is that?
Maduar: A Bladestorm katiri, only a few of its kind are around worldwide.
Sheik: Where did he get it?
Maduar: Got it from a company of kids apparently.
Sheik: What did he do to the kids? Sheik said with anxiety.
Maduar: He told me the kids apparently… Maduar began thinking of something from his past.
Sheik and Maduar bolted upwards at the same time.
Sheik: Are you the same?
Maduar: Were we both on that adventure!
Sheik: Yes I remember now! Your cousin Maduin surrendered the sword to him when he couldn’t be leader anymore!
Maduar: Right! We got a lot of catching up to do eh?
Sheik: Your damn right old buddy! Remember the time when as his voice trails off.
In the Captains Quarters
Seph: I wonder why am I here? What is my real destiny? What is my past? I remember now… I got to succeed in my mission.

The travelers reach Velious safely and rest at Iceclad Ocean Inn but to find out more of what happens read my next book A Dark Quest In Icy Velious.

The below was an essay, and wonder in awe at how MrCard stumbled on something so brilliant and yet so paradoxical, children can be so unbelievably brilliant, but lacking experience or knowledge can't use that brilliance, if they could.....

quote:

The Many Sides Of ME!

When you look at someone at a different angle do you see him/her in a different light or just simple seeing him/her standing tilted? When you look at someone in a different angle is it fingurativly, or physictivly? If physictivly, you want to see if he/she is hiding something or doing soomething that seems suspicious and looking at the 'said' person might yield better results then simply looking at the 'said' person from infront of him/her. Also when you look at someone in a different angle you can say "what if?" Forexample you could imangine that the current person in front of you is bald or has a really big nose, when in reality the person has hair and a small beak like nose. When figurtivly it means you see a person and "what if? (again)" But this time it is about the reality of the persons personality. For example your looking at a person who happens to be dummer(I hope to god that I spelt this right) then a rock, you can look at him in a different angle and say what if he could actually spell his own name? Or you got a raging paranoid scitzofrenic and say I wonder what if he wasn't think all the time that the government is out to get him? These are all classic examples of looking at some from a different angle. But what about me the writer of this creative piece? If someone looked at me funny I'ld probably think I got something wrong with my hair or something or that this guy is really weird or can't see straight. Of course back to angles if a person tried to look at em in a different angle and wondered "what if" They are probably thinking that I would look better (hopefully this is a girl looking at me like that) thinner (or maybe not with those thoughts in her mind) or with a haircut sometime soon. Another possiblity are those people who are just jealous about my suporiour intellect in matters more worldly to them (for example how many students in this school know about China's latest manned space flight into orbit), and are probably wondering "what if" I was a little more like them. So anyways when people look at me in a different angle I hope that they look at my many facets and go "Woah he's perfect anywhich way!" (I grant permission to laugh at that, I don't believe it either).

Man was I arrogant those days.

Below is possibly one of my best analytical essays , once more uncovered from within my TARDIS.

quote:

Is War Justified?

Out of the many side effects of human behavior, that one side effect that project's most strongly into our minds other then industrial and enviromental pollution, is war. In the long history of humanity there are tree constants; war, peace, and revolution. These constants constitute an "endless waltz", doomed to constantly cycle throughout our history. Also throughout history the one constant that has the greatest impact on our history is war. War is the single driving force of our speacies. We were born and bred from our primitive days in africa to our "modern" era to fight wars or rather to be competitive and to prepare for war. The competitiveness that makes us who we are today, and is the single most controversal topic ever to be brought up in a conversation of our times. However. The question is, is war justified? Many people who could be mentioned will immediatly condemn it, in the belief that war is "wrong" and that "millions of people have died" because of war. While not realising that there might have been no other choice. Religion will more often then not also condemn it but will sanction holy wars for virtually useless territory. So ultimatly these people are hypocrits, and they steadfastly cling to their hypocrities, delusions, arrogance, or sometimes patriotisim. Nevertheless that is not an anwser only evasion of the answer. The anwser is yes war can be justified. How can it be possibly justified with its toll on human lives? Technologically. It is thanks to war that we are where we are today. Without war technological progress would be slow to a crawl. I do not mean warfare in general but mainly the threat of war. If a nation believes that it's borders are under threat of invasion, the defending nation will always seek means to turn aside the weapons of the invading nation. Because of the threat of war countries are constantly developing their economical, militerily, and sociable technologies inorder to gain the upper hand in either the current conflict or the next one. Against enemies existant or non-existant, this implies that a nation must always retain it's "edge of readiness" or in some extreme cases paranoia, and to always at least pretend that enemies exist or else they will become lax and negligent. Leading to self-destruction. This will secure to a degree a progressive technological socioty that can be ready when the next conflict suddenly arrives. Rapid technoloigal progress is the direct result of war and the threat of war. Without war or the threat of war, it is forseeable that we could have been 200 years behind technologically. Imangine what it was like when all you could do for fun was churn milk, when no computerized entertainment even so much as existed? No I geuss not, nobody wants today to return to the "good old days".
Technological progress and war go hand in hand, they never separate for long. In fact the two must never separate or else the "edge of readiness" will be blunt and technological progress will be slowed to a snail's pace. There is a good deal of proof for this. The first of a list of prime examples would be mesopotamia. In 'ancient' Iraq this 'nation' of city-states culturally united, politically separated. This is an example because of the fact that the early ecomomies back then were so primitive (but prosperous for their time) that everything a city needed for survival was availiable on site, except for ores however they traded for. What does this have to do with war? Everything that's what. For you see with self sufficient economies and the fact that these city-states beign of a reasonable distance from each other there was no quarrel for land and food. This means that the city-states had no reason to be ready for any major war that might threaten it's independance, except for the occasional incurrsians of nomads but they were unimportant. Thus this led into a false sense of security, the city-states of ancient Iraq were doomed. Why? Because these city-states by never knowing war were never ready for it, they weren't organised for it, they didn't train for it, they're were few warriors experianced enough to fight and the city defences were meant to repel nomad attacks. Eventually Mesopotamia was invaded and conquered by Assyrians who were trained for war and were organised for it. And without unity of the land of the Tigris and the Eurphrates they fell easily with hardly a struggle.
Ancient Rome, with it's ancient history of tragedies, fraturcide, triumphs and at it's end; spectacuar downfall. You could hardly expect this super power of the ancient world to have fallen to the same reasons of ancient Iraq. You would be partially right, however the fact remains that Rome, the world's first great super power fell to negligence, inflation, lead poisoning, and because of the fact that without the threat of war with an enemy as great as Rome, they will fall to rust and decay. Rome's organisation lasted until the end and continue to influence todays institutions and governments. However Rome's army without an offencive battle for 300 years Rome became lax and lazy. Alloying barbarians to populate its border regions. Rome became negligent of the consequences of not having a proper Imperial leading to the death of a good many Emperors. Assinated by the petty whims of their rivals at a price. Rome was being negligent of the consequences of its actions at its height. So when Rome's lax and negligence of current affaires, when the moral and effectivness of the Imperial Army was at an all time low. Rome then faced, sensing Rome's weakness wave after wave of barbarian invaders... Rome fell. Only fading memories of it's ancient glories remain. This was all caused by Rome being in a state of "peace" where there were no more rivals for control of the Mediteranium Sea, Rome went to sleep no longer caring about "those barbarian" tribes which would undoubtably eventually invade Rome if they sensed a weakness. Ultimatly without the threat of war to keep Roman blades sharp they fell to their to their own arrogance of total supremacy in Europe.
China now is a almost perfect example of an empire without any rivals for territory, limited only by geography. A perfect example whoes readiness for war desolved as Chiness warlords discarded "political unity" in a fight for control of Chiness politics. The Chiness dispite of having one the worlds best strategic thinkers in its history has trouble remembering lesson of its past. China becuase of the chronic civil war between warlords and the "void authority" of the Imperial Court China will fall to the fact that they so completely meshed in the internal struggles for power ignored the mongel tribes that were unifying themselves and would soon be a threat to Chiness "sovereignty". The mongels will invade and conquer China under Ghengis Khan. Eventually a grandson of Ghengis named Kublia will start the Kublia Khan Chiness dynasty. Hundreds of years later China isolated itself from a "modern world" to keep it's traditions safe. This resulted in negligence of the technological developement of Chiness technology. Resulting in China becoming 300 years behind Europe, and having virtually no infastructure or heavy/or light industry at all. Eventually European powers took advantageof this and made attempts of cutting Chian up as they did africa but failed. Japan too has isolated itself but then America forced Japan to open it's doors and Japan seeing itself surrounded by enemies raced forward in modernisation becoming a modern world power in half a century, and defeating a western power on land and sea in 1901-02. China however was not so lucky, China after a short flirtation of democracy after the fall of the Manchou dynasty became ripped apart by civil war as the Koumantang cliche fought the Chiness Communists for control of China's destiny. China now like before was focusing far too much of its attention internally and almost lost it's sovereignty to Japan during 1937-1945. However when the Peoples Republic of China resurged into the world as a new nation, it found herself surrounded by capitalist powers who would like nothing better to do then see China capitalist again. China finally reunited politically raced forward recovering for lost time just like Japan a century before and now China is now a world super power, and it should be noted that China may have rejuvinated the space race between the old Communist Countries and Western Democracies. As America seeks to retain its place as first rank in space while China reahces out to gain their proper place in the world.
These are all great examples of nations who have neglected their armies effectivness, and economies, or a rival power. The progress, economically and technologically of these nations nations was great but puttered out as they reached a vegetational barrier or a natural one. However there are also nations that have continualasly for centuries had the threat of war hanging over them allowing them to become for a time the world powers until economical developements forced them into dependancies of large powers with the new reasources to exploit. European nations from as early as the 1400's to the 20th century were the perfect example of nations under constanst threat of war and having chronic intermediate wars. The European nations were always striving for control over a subtle and unstable political situation that covered all of Europe. With the threat of war always in the minds of the leaders of these nations, means have been taken to wage war successfully over their opponents. These nations strained themselves in chronic competition with each other that eventually lead to technological advances in all fields. In fact Napoleon's invasion of Russia in 1812 could have only happened becuase of the developement of canned foods. Dispite all this straining for technological advantages over their opponents most of the great inventions were done by individuals who sold their ideas to various nations. The breech loading rifle, dynamite, the internal combustion engine, the automobile, heavier then air flight, wireless, the machine gun, tanks. As great as these inventions are they were horrible and unreliable as prototypes, here the competivness of nations kicked in and thes eearly and pathetic models were soon rapidly developed to become the most effective killling machines in the world. It is thanks to these inventions and what they led to that make us who we are today. It is thanks to the blood and toil and streaching of nations that we have our computerised games, our nuclear power, our satelite TV, our 3 day flights around the world and more.
However, rapid technological progress as it is mentioned does not nessasarily mean that chronic warfare is needed for rapid technological developement. Only the threat of war is needed. This can exist even if there are no conflicts happening in the world, even when two great powers are half a world away. From 1949 to 1991 there has been a Cold War between western capitalist democracies and the eastern Communist International. This war took the form of techno races for supremacy. These races were called the space race, and the arms race, both sides racing for bigger and better weapons and faster, safer, and flashier spaceships. The pride and prestige of nations depended on the space race and so both sides put everything they had and more into this race. Even at the end of the Cold War, technological progress was the norm even Russia at it's end as a Communist power had the worlds most powerful army. Then Russia collapsed under the wait of it's own economical problems inherent in communist economies. America however caught up and acheived the most advance army in the world thanks to the rapid progress created by war and the threat of war.

Is war justified? War in the toll of human life and suffering can never be trully justified morally, but it can be justified in pure intellectual terms as being the primary reason for our rapid and technological developement. The proof is that throughout our history wherever war or the threat of war was visible rapid progress in technology, economy, and sociaty was soon to follow. Also without the threat of war many large nations will eventually collapse as the politcal situation at the capitol tears the country apart and the nation collapses under its own weight. Was is thus justified because we owe everything we take for granted today to war and the threat of war. If we were to suddenly have world peace thrusted upon us without adequate preparations we as a civilized species are doomed to civil war and collapse.

Hmm, another wall of text. *wham!*

Below is my attempt at a short with a end twist.

quote:

Semi-automatic bursts sounded off in the distance, orders being yelled at soldiers, Felix hearing it all, concentrating on the battle figuring out what his squad should do. Felix realizing he had forgotten about his squad turned his head to study them. Five in all six including himself, one of them Fred, he's the radioman. Alex being the best shot in the whole company is his rear guard. Sean O'connor being his point man, Edgar, who gives cover fire to Sean, and Dylan his best friend who's always there when Felix is in over his head. Looking at his dirty soldiers under his command he smiles. "Sir?" Fred asks, getting no definite anwser from the company commander. Felix looks towards a low hill through the forest that overlooks the point of attack by his regiment then to his men. Breath easy you can do this. "Alrighty, see that hill? Good were gonna take, it's an important position. If we take it we can give cover fire to our regiment." I hope I'm doing this right, or it maybe all over. Felix got up, and his sqaud followed suit. With rifle bursts opening up and grenades popping, the squad went for cover. Felix spoke. "Don't worry it's not us they're shooting at lets go on." That was close. His squad continued to creep forward. 30 feet to go just 30 to go. Soon Felix's squad was out of the trees, Felix straightened up for a better lookat the hill- then something then hit the tree next to his head. "Charge the hill! Fred, Alex give us cover!" yelled Felix. Felix went zig-zag around bushes and trees around the hill. Then he got onto his hands and knees with Sean, Adrian, and Edgar following suit, cralwing through bush they made it behind the hill, from there they got unto their feet and charged the hill from behind. An enemy soldier on the hill turned around and saw them, he turned his head to warn his friends. How stupid. Felix thought. Felix, before the enemy could summon his buddies lifted up his semi-automatic and fired a burst and the enemy soldier, who then fell to the ground face first. As he made it to the top of the hill, Felix saw 4 enemy soldiers shooting down at Fred and Alex who are firing back. Felix and Sean fired off bursts at them and they all one at a time went down. Felix ordered Alex and Fred on the walkie-talkie's to come up the hill. When they came up the hill, Felix looked over to the lightly fortified positions the enemy had prepared. He didn't like what he saw. His buddies were pinned down in the underbrush just in front of the enemy positions and they're weren't many enemy defenders either. "Okay, guys start shooting at the enemy positions give our friends down there help!" Felix ordered. He continued. "Fred set up te Radio and inform the commander of our status. Colonel Andrew commander of the 5th Infantry Regiment, quicly assigned a whole company to that hill and attacked the enemy positions from the flank, quickly collapsing the enemy line. This was another crucial objective secured for their (in that regiment's minds) eventual victory. Felix and his squad now resting up at the newly set up camp an hours later. A messenger came up and saluted Felix. "Colonel Andrew wishes to cangraduat you sir in helping us gain this victory sir!" Felix pleasnatly surprised saluted too. "Yes Corperal I'll meet with the Colonel right away." Before the messenger left he said. "That was some painball battle eh Felix?" Felix smiled and said. "Yep, the enemy soldiers here. (jerking a thumb towards a group of prisoners) played dead very well." Felix then walked away towards the Colonel's tent wondering what was in store.

*sigh* [Blushing] I feel sorry for my teachers back then, me and my wallz of text.

Well thats all that I have so far rummaged out of my time machine so far.

This is partly a test to see who has bad enough case of OCD to read through the entire thing and still works up the effort to critisize me.

Blayne, if you want genuine criticism on any new (last year or two- or even three) piece of writing you have, I'd be happy to help, but giving asking for criticism on pieces of work that are seven years old, the work of a young teenager, unfinished, and are presented in a barely formatted manner is a bit much. Surely you agree.

I appreciate your need to share your past, but you must understand- we all have a stack of old files from the past but it is more special to ourselves than it is to other people. Unless people specifically ask, it's generally considered good manners to keep it for your own, and yours alone, reading/viewing pleasure.

Yeah, but I must say I was pretty proud of this stuff when I first made them, I think the "Is War justified?" was my submission piece for the Commonwealth Literary contest.

Blayne, your MST3King of your own writing is easily the funniest part of that post. [Smile] I've done that with some of my older pieces.

(Sharing: one of the first stories I ever wrote as a young teenager involved the Japanese occupation of the American West and Southwest from the perspective of a New Orleans gunrunner. The Big-Bad had a cybernetic arm, and in the first scene jams his robotic hand through an underling's jaw to pop out her eyeballs from the inside in response to a bit of bad news. It's every bit as bad as anything in your post.)
