Sam Raimi, how could you?

Richard looks ALL WRONG.

I have no idea how they will mangle to story to make the Mord-Sith palatable. Or the whole "seduce and murder young children so they can take you to the underworld" thing. Or heck, any of it.

BAD IDEA.

Meh. It's a bad idea, but what the hell. They can only improve on that awful series.

That story could use some good mangling.

Well, there is that, Icarus. Though the first book wasn't too bad.

Mucus, they went off and made Spiderman. Guess that's done with for now.

Not to me. I'm so totally psyched to see this now. I was looking forward to it anyway, but that trailer was cool.

Why? Obviously they're going to find a way to tame some of the nasty sexual and torture stuff, but that's normal for TV. This is going to be wonderful.

Cool photo of Richard and Kahlan: Link. I wonder how they'll pronounce Kahlan. KAY-lin? I'm used to transliterations from Hebrew, so I've always thought of her as KAH-lahn, but I don't know how Goodkind intended it to be pronounced.

Don't tempt fate, Joe.

Though judging by the trailer, it looks like they've opted for the third way: making it so boring and generic that only the most diehard fans will watch it.
