Okay, this is going to sound lame. I wrote some things many years ago in Word 6.0. I never bothered to open them and resave them in Word 97 or Word 2000. Now I'm running WinXP with Word XP, and when I open the files, all the formatting is gone, and there's a bunch of crud there.
So I went looking for a Word 6.0 viewer online, but the only one I could find wouldn't recognize WinXP as Windows. Heh.
I really don't want to have to go through these docs and reformat everything. I'd like to see them as they originally were. Oh, Wordpad doesn't do the trick either, btw.
Does anyone out there have a way to do this? Either a viewer that works for them, or maybe Word 6.0 or Word 97 installed so that they can open the files for me and resave them?

I can save to Word 6, so I may be able to open Word 6 documents. I'm running Word 2002 right now. If I can't open it from my computer, I have access to a machine with Word 97 on it. My email is in my profile if you would like me to take a crack at them for you.

The Windows installation of the latest version, unless they updated again in the last month and I didn't notice.
