Doesn't it cycle, though? Like some threads disappear as they get too old, and the posts related to them are no longer in the count. I thought I remember reading a thread about this the last time we got close to a big round number.

I gotta go pick up my car from the airport parking lot where my mom left it. I'm not sure if were on pace without, like, a last post thread or something.

Yeah, we're down to 25. We need some kind of "Which Lost character are you?" quiz. Or something. Or "Which Presidential Candidate are you?"

I can't be certain, but I don't think the one I just took was for this election cycle. Though it did say I was some guy from Maryland named Petrouka. Which gets eerier the longer I think about it.
I don't know why I'm editing this post instead of burning bandwidth.
P.S. I just realized I quoted my post instead of editing it.

Edit: I feel like this should have more prominence, Being as it is the millionth post on Hatrack. So I'll post my favourite quote by Uncle Orson, which really encapsulates why I joined Hatrack in the first place.
"My books don't deal with the adolescent dream of finding yourself without the restraints of parents or the responsibility of dependents. Real people don't ride off into the sunset. When the sun sets, you still have to make dinner and do the dishes."
Here's to a million more last posts, blayne blogs, detailed analysis of jewish custom, the way they do things in Sri Lanka, cute things that children do, current events, and inquiries into the status of the Ender's Game movie, it may not seem like much, but that's the beauty of Hatrack, it doesn't do anything.

Once one person laughs, it's not really considered necessary to post others. Lots of perfectly funny things get said around here and no one acknowledges that they laughed. Some of the professional humorists get pages and pages of appreciative laughs, but on the whole I'd say it's rarer than not. I mean, it would be kind of annoying to have to scroll through 3 pages of laughs to find out why people are laughing every time.

Here's to a million more posts about the sublime metaphysical beauty of making dinner and doing dishes. =)
