Well, it IS an unsolicited, oddly line-broken commercial post from a new member who'd never posted anything else before, so it's pretty clearly spam by most definitions. For my part, though, it's so refreshingly old-school to see spam posted by a human being instead of a 'bot that I'm willing to overlook it.

Amaseffer, we've been deluged lately with spambots posting links, usually to porn, so your spam (and really, it is spam for all the reasons that Tom lists) is probably going to be met with more harshly than it otherwise would be. Like Tom said, though, you're a real person, which is a nice change of pace.
Are you intersted in actually becoming part of the community here? If so, tell us a bit about yourself. When you're an oldbie you can tell the funny story of how your first post was spam.

Lupus, it's spam, so you get the win for race #134 (no other whistles), but since Amaseffer seems in fact to be a sentient being and a fan of OSC, I'm not going to change all the contents and the thread title.
Amaseffer, if you'll recall the terms you agreed to when you registered, advertising/solicitation is considered inappropriate, so I have removed the link. If people are interested enough, they can look it up. After you've been around a bit longer we can let those things slide a bit because it's seen as something of interest to (or about) a member of a community, rather than advertising.
Also, regarding the spam races as a for-your-information, we've been inundated with various types of spam lately, and I've tried to keep my spirits up about the drudgery of manual removal of them that we've made it a forum-wide race to see who can first report such a thread.

*nod* It usually means that the original text has been cut and pasted from another source. This happens with spam and translated items -- and especially with translated spam.
