I had to put together two trampolines with enclosures. One for my kids and one for my nephews. It wasn't as bad as the Cinderella Kitchen from two years ago.

Swapped out my kid's 15" TV for a 24" one, without waking him up. Now I'm tired, and waiting for Teres to go to sleep so I can assemble the handmade light tent for her. Hoping this works...

I had to set up luminaries at the church before the evening services. Not particularly hard, and it wasn't very cold this year, but it was still enough to make my back stiff.

Assemble? Why would we buy something that requires assembly for Christmas? The most assembly I'll be doing is adjusting Emma's roller skates (the strap-on-to-your-shoes trainer kind) to fit her. (That is her Santa gift. Bridey got a baby doll. That is what they asked Santa for-- Santa gives each kid one present. Mommy and Abba got them a bunch of thrift store books, videos, and clothes. Emma picked some Winnie the Pooh books out for Bridget at the thrift store-- she wanted to get a soccer ball for her but we just didn't have time to find one of the appropriate size and softness-- and Bridget got Emma a Crayola Mess-Free Color Wonder art set. Actually Emma saw it in the store and really wanted it and asked if Santa would bring it for her, and upon being informed that Santa had already finished making her toy-- because we bought it when it was on sale-- turned to Bridey and asked, "Will you give it me for Christmas, Bridget?" Whereupon, of course, Bridget said, "Yeah!" and I was roped into paying for it so Bridey could give it to Emma for Christmas. Clever children.)

Not really assembling, but my mom got a new Dell notebook for christmas and im sure they will ask me to help them set it up, since both my parents are technologically retarded.

I worked all last night, and I assembled the night crew together for a picture.
Oh, I also assembled Christmas gift bags for the whole night crew. Everyone got a candy cane, a peanut butter chocolate penguin, a mini folding umbrella, and either a big coffee mug or a picture frame.
For 34 people. Yeah, Dollar Store!

Each time I open the thread I can't help but have the topic question fresh in my mind, and then I hit "jump to new posts" and read. So here's what I read:
"What did you have to assemble this Christmas?"
"Nursing home."
Sounds like a lot of work.

Our biggest assembly job was a couple years ago, when we got the kids a swingset. I mostly assembled the thing in the garage, leaving it in three not-yet-attached pieces. After it got dark, I carried the (very, very heavy) pieces out of the garage and around to the non-visible-from-the-living-room side of the house. And after the kids went to bed, I took the pieces the rest of the way into the back yard and finished assembling them.
I don't believe I'll ever be doing such a thing again. Only thing I assembled this year was the tree. No, wait -- Mama did that. I guess I did nothing. I can't even recall assembling a list.

I had to assemble an RC tarantula, a Roboraptor, an educational toy called Moon-in-my-room (it shows the different lunar phases),an Eyeclops,and a pair of Socker Boppers (inflatable punching gloves).I had to rob some AAA batteries from an old TV remote to assemble the RC tarantula and they went dead after about 5 minutes.That toy is gonna rock when we replace the batteries.I beat the crap out of Steven with those Socker Boppers (Steven is my Daddy). I had to help assemble a PlayMobil Roman ship. It was much harder than you might think. There were knots to tie. My little cousin calls the decals "details" and kept heaving huge sighs and saying "Why did these Romans have so many details?"
(He also had one of the Roman soldier guys stab everyone in my grandmother's porcelain Nativity scene. I said, "Nate! You stabbed Jesus!" and Nate held up the soldier and said, "He's a ROMAN." I love this kid.)
