Well, I expect they'll add the teaser after Cloverfield finishes its opening weekend.
Due to the massive tide of glowing, extremely positive reviews for that flick, I've decided to see it with a couple of my sibs this Friday. Apparently it'll feature the Enterprise being constructed.

Eh, they aren't active yet.
We're not seeing it 'til Friday. As I write this, it's still Wednesday.
What no midnight preview?
But seriously, I'm having a weird week, I don't have any work or school tomorrow as I took the day off to go the hospital, so my brain keeps thinking it's Friday evening today, why else would I have the day off?
edit: Also as a Star Trek aside, there was this girl that I thought was insanely cute, and since she was a history/political science double major, we've had alot of the same classes over the past few years. She never seemed interested in my advances so I gave up on the prospect, and got married in the meantime. Today in class the teacher could not get the projector to work and so I suggested, he try doing it the star trek way and said, "On Screen" in my best Patrick Stewart. She cracked up, said I was the cutest geek she had ever seen.

Doesn't there have to be some mystery surrounding something for there to be a viral campaign?

In general it looks darker, visually, not content wise. But in general it looks a lot more real, and a lot less like that bright, shiny, perfect utopia that we're often shown.
I like the feel, even short as that 30 second teaser was.

The "new old" Enterprise looks beautiful, from what little I can glean out of the linked hi-res picture. It looks like they took the original pre-refit Enterprise design and re-detailed it with paneling that more closely resembles the post-refit look. That post-refit design (aka "movie Enterprise") has always been my favorite of the various Enterprise permutations, so this compromise between the two suits me just fine.
