Reading about her audition for River was interesting. More than anyone else in the cast, I cannot imagine another actor playing that role.

No, we're talking about the comments I think. Scroll down, there about a bunch of comments listed as being by "Summer Glau" and some of them are pretty silly.

The comment section on the A.V. Club is good for one thing: making you appreciate the level of discourse on Hatrack.

Are you kidding? The comments on the A.V. Club are amazingly polite and couth compared to those on Ain't It Cool News.

I don't know; I'm used to her face being a little rounder. I hope she isn't dieting or anything. God knows the LA scene seems to cause some unfortunate body images in many young women.
That said, the interview seems to suggest someone who's a lot more intelligent and capable of introspection than many actresses of her generation.
And if the replies really are her, more power to her for handling crass comments with such a light touch.

The thing that irks me about Sarah Connor Chronicles is the voice-over at the beginning of each ep. It says that Skynet sent machines back. Some to kill John. One to save him. But Skynet didn't do any such thing. John sent one back to save himself.

Right with you on that one, it makes me cringe every time.

I may have misheard, but notice that the Rivernator noted that the resistance fighter and she had not met before when they were treating him even though the (implied) future version of her was the one that brought her to John Connor?
Between that and her ominous shots with stuff at the ends of episodes leads me to wonder if there is a bigger game at work.

The conversation between Cameron and Sarah was something like "What did you do to him?", "I don't know, they erase our memories when they reprogram us"
Then later, she talks about his and Kyle's records to John. I don't think she ever acknowledged actually meeting in the future.
Edit to add: Not as good as a script but here:
quote: In the adjoining room, John watches the surgery and paces. Noting his nervousness, Cameron helpfully suggests a sedative from Charley's bag. "You know who that is in there, who's dying on that table?" says John. "Yes. That man is first lieutenant Derek Thomas Reese with the 132nd S.O.C. Operational specialty: tech comm," says Cameron. "No, I mean on a personal level. You understand who he is?" asks John. Cameron says records indicate his only blood relative is his brother, Kyle Reese, adding that Kyle was imprisoned with John Connor in Century work camp in 2015, escaped with John Connor in 2021, and went MIA after being assigned to protect Sarah Connor from Skynet in 2027. "Is that all?" says a very grouchy John. "Seems like a lot," says Cameron. Kind of defensive, isn't she?
quote: Sarah strolls in. She hasn't changed her blood-soaked shirt, possibly because she likes the way the red accentuates her stain-free chest. She says Cameron should "get the hell out of here" and then asks if Cameron did something to Derek in the future. "I don't know," says Cameron, explaining that when the Terminators get reprogrammed, their memories are scrambled, which supposedly increases the chances for success of their new programming, not to mention provides a convenient plot point. She places the pillow under Derek's head. He thanks her by immediately starting to spit up blood.

Hmmm, looks like tonight's episode (or I guess yesterday's?) changes things. So apparently they *do* know each other and she was lying/being evasive when Sarah asked her.
Anyways, I really hope that they have a plan, and not in the BSG "they have a plan" sense.
