Good grief.

Is there anyone New Line -hasn't- gotten upset over sharing of the profits?

Could they stop doing that?
Or just give them their money?
People need to chill with the law suits before I try to find someone to sue.

NewLine is losing a lot of reputation because of these issues. IMHO, anyway.

Well, I certainly wouldn't be lining up to sign them over book rights.

Wait a minute, I thought that if they didn't start making it this year then the rights to make the film reverted to Saul Zaentz. If anything, wouldnt't this just make it so New Line didn't make it, but it still got made? There's more to this than meets the eye.

That did make me wonder, Lyr...but then I wondered if the Tolkien trust would then go after Saul Zaentz. I know he's had problems with Peter S. Beagle over The Last Unicorn movie.
