The option for a movie based on "Harbinger" has been picked up.

One moment while I shudder at the thought of Ratner directing this.

[Angst]

Okay, I'm better now. [Wink]

For those unfamiliar with it (which would be most of you), Harbinger was a rather brutal deconstructionist take by Jim Shooter on the notion of teenage mutant super-hero teams. When he was writing the series, it was one of the smartest and most unusual super-hero books of the 90s. Every trope was taken apart, analyzed, and often smashed to pieces...even the ones Shooter helped create in his youth! It also introduced the world to David Lapham, who would later find his niche doing very dark and brilliant crime comics.

This has the potential to be a very great, different sort of super-team movie.

But, yeah...Ratner. *shudder*

Oh, well. [Smile]
