Did it start today? I just noticed that my cell phone is an hour behind my computers. Both my computers. I'm pretty sure I didn't change my cell phone, and my computers are synchronized to the world time servers. Isn't DST normally in April?

We showed up for church, only to get there as the last speaker was wrapping up. We were very confused.

It used to change in April. I think last year was when the new dates went into effect, because I remember a lot of confusion when we set backwards last autumn. Either your cell phone hasn't re-synched with the network or your cell company is behind the times.

I didn't know it was DST.

I was up all night on a special project, and was horribly confused because my cellphone changes time automatically, but not until 10am this morning. On the other hand, my laptop changes time instantly, but contrary to older Windows versions it just does it without asking.

So I look at my phone and my watch, and wonder why my computer's off. So I change it. Several hours later I go to use my phone and see that it is an hour ahead.

I thought I'd lost my mind.

This totally happened to me too! I missed the first hour of church a result. Do you guys have sprint phones? It has to be a cellular deal.

Verizon automatically switches it over. You might have to call their *228 number to reprogram it or shut it off or back on. But I think they did it themselves today.

MY step-dad however was an hour late to work today. He said he was teased really bad. And he HATES being teased. Which made it pretty funny.

I had to catch a plane this morning, and normally use my cell phone as my alarm clock. Verizon didn't manage to reset the time on my phone until I rebooted it after getting up. Thank goodness my wife set another alarm clock today, or I would have missed my plane (baggage check and security were a nightmare today for some reason).

My old Sprint phone used to change, but I have to manually turn DST on and off on my Cingular phone. Might be the brand though, rather than the service, I don't know.

Here in Indiana, we had plenty of warning DST was comming up (those who don't know, Indiana adopted DST last year for the first time in more than 30 years).

I expect the same kind of coverage when we find out the world is ending (because, to most native Hoosiers, having to observe DST IS the end of the world [Roll Eyes] )

I hate it when we have to spring forward. However, when we fall back I think it is rather amazing. [Smile]

I'm with you cass. Falling back's nice, springing foward sucks. Specially when it comes as a surprise.

I would like to live in a world with daylight losing time. I don't much care for the sunshine.

The Shvester is a creature of the darkness.

I do, however, appreciate the extra hour to get ready for Shabbos.

Took me totally by surprise this year. I didn't find out until I sat down at my computer last night at what I thought was 10:30 p.m., only to find out it was 11:30. Grrr....

I knew about it...because we put up signs at work reminding people, but my (verizon) cell phone didn't fix itself until I rebooted it in the morning.

I just used my normal alarm clock to wake me up. I generally just use my cell phone as a back up anyway.
