Deep into the glory days of the show, now. Between this and the news that the new Muppet movie will focus on the Muppets themselves, not a concept, well, an old school Jim Henson fan is feeling quite cheerful.

I feel the desire to watch the original movie. The Muppet Movie was one of my favorites as a child and continues to serve as one of my favorites.
*looks at t-shirt* Part of this desire may stem from the fact that I'm wearing an Electric Mayhem t-shirt.

(Looking at the episode list. Harry Belafonte is one of my favorite episodes. So are Leslie Uggams-- because of Big Bird here, too-- and Roy Rogers and Dale Evans.)

Oh man...the Pearl Bailey episode! That has one of the funniest closing skits of all time. Kermit wanted the Muppets to perform a scene from Camelot with Pearl, but they didn't get the rights to any of the music. So, the Muppets are forced to sing wildly inappropriate songs from other musicals, and the whole thing just gets crazier and crazier.

Wearing another Electric Mayhem t-shirt. And rocking it all day. My aunt has good taste in gifts.
