As prescribed by the doctor, I'm resting my foot. Flipping on the TV, the station was set on Cartoon Network, showing a marathon of Ben 10.

I had been aware my little nephew (Hi Zeke!) loved this show, but had never truly watched it myself.

I can now understand the appeal. The ability to transform into many ugly-yet-cool super-heroic monsters, each with their own unique power. Fighting other ugly-yet-cool monsters. It's a primal boy fantasy made incarnate. It almost taps a deep a well as The Iron Giant: Your Very Own Giant Robot Best Friend.

*goes back to watching Ben 10*

[fanboy]This is what was originally appealing to me about Ender's Game. War games in space![/fanboy]

Yeah, Ben 10 is pretty cool. My 11 year old Brother loves it.
