I saw The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle: Day One) in paperback form at B&N. I flipped open the cover and scanned the first couple pages. There was the title for the second book, with an asterisk indicating it was "coming soon" from DAW.

I began to tremble. Could it be? Could I finally get to find out another portion of Kvothe's story? I limped over to the information desk. I inquired as to the release date of the second book.

"Coming soon, April, 2009?!?"

...*...

I guess that like Aslan, to DAW and Patrick Rothfuss, all times are "soon".
