What is the first thing you see when you google yourself? What gets funnier results your hatrack id or your real name?

If I google my real name, I get my firm's website and that of an international association my firm belongs to. Oh, and a ton of hits that aren't me.
If I google my screen name, I get Hatrack posts, a couple of my LJ posts that were pulled out onto LJFind (and I'd love to know how that happened since my LJ is friendslocked), and comments I made to other Jatraqueros' blogs.

I ego-surf every month or so. It's usually the same old, same old. Ancient history, an essay on OSC's Ornery site, gay stuff, Orthodox Jewish stuff, and some programming stuff. Every now and then I find myself being cited somewhere, which is always kind of cool.

If I google my name the only thing that turns up is some British astronomer guy who died over a hundred years ago. I need to add some pretty specific terms to the search before I actually show up in it.

When I google my name, the name of a very famous polish goalkeeper comes out. His surname is the same, but his first name isnt. It's like "Szymon. Surname..."

At the moment, the first real hit for my name (as opposed to other people who share my name) is for this picture that includes both me and George R.R. Martin. I'm the one that is standing pretty directly in front of George. It's like I am near fame.
Most of the other hits for me are for Scrabble tournament results.

A bunch of stuff that isn't me, some chess-related stuff (tournaments and such), and my first prize from a county science fair a number of years back. I made the words sound pretty and picked something that had a ton of Greek letters in the formula. Despite being dreadfully simple, I was able to make it SOUND complex. Muahahaha. Grand prize went to a friend of mine, who went on to come in 3rd at that intel international science fair with it in Earth Science. Personally, I think he should have come in first in Earth Science.

I get pictures of me that my brother in law put up on his webpage. Which kinda annoys me because I try to minimize my web presence. He could just put my first name or better yet, the nickname everyone calls me by. And every hit (assuming you use first and last name in quotes) is me. All ten of them.

For my Hatrack name I found posts from Hatrack, Ornery, Sake and a SI forum I sometimes lurk at. And also something about The Sims that I know isn't me, which is curious because I'd never heard my HR name before I made it up. But nothing else.
For MY name, I found myself on Facebook, and then a ton of entries for other people with my name. One time someone actually instant messaged me and said we had the same name, and I believed him because he wasn't trying to tell my anything or what not. I had just unblocked my AIM for the first time in a few years and he popped up all excitedly to tell me that he was Adam too. Apparently I'm not famous enough to have my own google hits...yet.

I get no results when I surf for my name. Welsh First name with Ukranian Jewish last names are just that rare I suppose.
Lots of stuff under my maiden name. Especially in Utah. Most of it isn't me. Especially in Utah.
I get all SORTS of stuff under my nick. What's scarey about that is some of it isn't me! For the longest time I thought I was the only Pixiest. Now that's no longer the case.
And I agree with Lisa. When you find someone quoting you on another board, that's just the coolest thing ever.
Remember though... Ego surfing is cool. Stalker surfing is rude.

Possessing, as I do, two of the most common names in the country, I have to specify with the state to find anything. Then, you find minutes of the state workforce development board for the last lots of years. How exciting is that? If I were to put in my Hatrack Handle, I would get a beautiful plant (once described by Mark Twain as the fag end of creation) since the handle is a botanical name.

Yeah, but some of those entries weren't always flocked, right? If the entries have ever been public, then they can appear in search queries. You can try contacting LJFind and asked to have them removed. <takes off LJ Support Volunteer hat>
Real name: my very first web page (yes, it's still out there!) followed by road rallye results.
Screenname: don't even have to Google this: it's my LiveJournal.

If I google my RL first and last name, I get pages of links to a moderately famous singer with the same name. If I add my middle initial, I get a link to me as the first hit but still a lot of stuff that isn't me. If I add the initial and put my name in quotes, I get 5 pages (47 links) to me and stuff I've published.
My screen name is "The Rabbit", no point in googling it.

For my real name, I get a fashion model who shares it. Then there's a radio host who also isn't me. The fourth one is me posting comments on Randy Ingermanson's writing blog.
My handle gives me bookstores. I'm ok with that.

My real name pulls up the three professors (each from a different institution) who share it. I don't even show up until the second page of hits.

My real name pulls up a bunch of different university sports people. My screen name pulls up links to my scrapbook websites (my most often used screen name anyway). Including a scrapbook site I have no memory of joining and posting at but I did. weird.

The first hit is my tv.com page. Used to be my webpage, but I removed all substantial content on it a while ago, so it must have sunk in the rankings.

First and last doesn't have me in the top couple pages, even if I throw in middle initial. My full name used to have me for the top couple spots, but apparently those are no longer online, and now the top spot is held by the court records of some unrelated guy.
My user name, on the other hand, is pretty much entirely me.

My real name turns up a site devoted to bicycling, news stories about a police officer who got himself into some real deep doo-doo, an LDS Stake President in California, and some shameless self promotion from a tatoo artist.
Nothing for me though.
Googled my screen name, went 11 pages deep, nothing.

I'm the first search result for a letter-to-the-editor I wrote the summer after 10th grade to the New York Times.
I typed in my Hatrack handle; but since I did name it after one of my favorite movies I'm not really finding anything other than an awesome movie.

I'm a baby name addict. I regularly Google prospective baby names.
One baby name in particular that I like, I recently Googled, and got all excited when some hits came up. Oh, good, the name is used, it's out there, yay.
Then I look closer, and the hits are all from me, in the past five years, on baby name boards, telling people about this cool Anglo-Japanese name I made up...*sigh*
I don't think anyone likes this name. I'll just have to use it on a kid, present it as a fait accompli, and hope people aren't rude enough to complain about it. (Though some were rude enough to complain about one of my kids being named after an iconic Japanese samurai who wrote Book Of Five Rings)
