Hmmm. Disney announced it had the option to make a movie version a few years back. If that hasn't lapsed, maybe it's been greenlit?

I saw an interview with Katt, and he seemed to have a solid handle on why the character worked and where it went wrong. He said the series lost the magic when it became about busting bad guys and the powers of the suit. He said the good story was at the beginning when it was about a good young, dreamy school teacher, trying and often failing to balance his responsibilities to his students, his son, his girlfriend, the world and himself. The greatest American hero isn't about crime fiction as much as it's about being a hero while having both feet planted firmly in American bureaucracy and customs.
Aside:
My favorite line happens in the pilot, when Selleca tells Culp that she is a Lawyer. Culp laughs and says, "Bah, Lawyer. What Lawyer, you're too pretty." It's wonderfully delivered. I guess there is some third wave feminist critique about how the line is misogynist, but Culp delivered it perfectly.
My favorite episode was when Ralph wanted to be a baseball pitcher.

I read that Clooney bought the rights to The Fall Guy. Now there is a potentially great movie, or it could be awful, depending. All of the potential and promise of that story is captured in the final scene of the pilot episode. It's a touching scene between Colt Seavers and Farrah Fawcett that captures the "Unknown Stuntman," in all his heroic, slightly self-destructive goodness.
