A combined team made up of a number of the top scoring teams has managed to break the 10% improvement barrier for the grand prize.

At this point, there is a 30 day period for all interested teams to submit their final best algorithm.

What a cool concept, and I'm sure Netflix benefits from the publicity and the hard work that others put into the algorithm.
