Reporter stands by claim about Batman 3 casting.

Nolan's made it clear that he considers Dick Grayson to still be a tiny baby traveling with his parent's circus during the events of the first film. I can't really see the Beef playing that young.

Yuk. Another reason to not watch it.

Not watch it? The film hasn't been greenlit, let alone new villains cast. [Wink]

I think Murphy has some penance to do from "Norbit" before he should be allowed anywhere near a blockbuster again. Especially given the possibility of him derailing a train of successes.

But frankly, I just don't believe it- he simply doesn't fit the type they've been casting towards. Weisz I believe.

Actually, considering his last dozen movies, I think he needs to pay dearly. Besides Dreamgirls (which I haven't seen, but considering it won him a Golden Globe I'll give it some leverage), he hasn't done anything worthwhile in a decade.

"Dreamgirls" was good, but his part in it was not large. I'd even give the Shreks an "okay", though that's as an average. But I think at this point he's largely a character actor by way of props and foam latex, and someone who values their hundred-million-plus budget should take a gander at "Pluto Nash".

Like I say, I just don't see it. He's a scene-stealer, but not necessarily in a good way. The only way I can imagine this coming about is studio hack in a suit saying they need more bankable star power to continue adding "oomph" to each sequel, and if this is what comes of it, said hack should be run out of L.A. on a rail.
